Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi belajar yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa disabilitas netra dalam meningkatkan kompetensi akademik di Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam, Universitas Negeri Jakarta dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang membentuk strategi belajar tersebut. Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh pentingnya inklusivitas pendidikan dan kesetaraan bagi penyandang disabilitas. Penelitian ini diangkat dari kesulitan- kesulitan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa disabilitas netra dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya pada mata kuliah bahasa asing dan materi yang belum aksesibel. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap keenam mahasiswa disabilitas netra di Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman, analisis studi kasus, dan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa strategi belajar mahasiswa disabilitas netra terbentuk dari faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal seperti jenis ketunanetraan, pengalaman dan latar belakang pendidikan, penguasaan teknologi, serta faktor eksternal seperti dukungan sosial dan lingkungan kampus yang turut membentuk strategi belajar mereka. Strategi belajar mahasiswa disabilitas netra terdiri dari tiga macam, yaitu strategi kognitif, metakognitif, dan sosio-afektif. Strategi kognitif mencakup: 1) menghafal, 2) memanfaatkan bantuan teknologi baik itu screen reader maupun internet seperti google, youtube, dan AI, 3) meminta bantuan teman dalam mengatasi kesulitan memahami materi maupun mengerjakan tugas-tugas kuliah. Strategi metakognitif mencakup perencanaan belajar (memilih metode sesuai jenis mata kuliah), pemantauan, dan evaluasi (mengubah metode yang kurang efektif, meningkatkan keterampilan teknologi, dan membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama). Strategi sosial mencakup: 1) membangun relasi sosial, 2) berdiskusi, 3) memanfaatkan dukungan dari kampus. Kemudian, strategi afektif, yaitu 1) motivasi, 2) kesadaran akan pentingmya pendidikan, 3) kemandirian dalam mobilitas, 4) pengelolaan stres dan emosi, serta 5) kebutuhan pembelajaran yang lebih personal. Kata kunci : Strategi Belajar, Mahasiswa Disabilitas Netra, Kompetensi Akademik. ***** ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the learning strategies used by students with visual disabilities in improving academic competence in the Islamic Education Study Program, State University of Jakarta and identify the factors that shape these learning strategies. The background of this research is based on the importance of educational inclusiveness and equality for people with disabilities. This research was raised from the difficulties experienced by students with visual disabilities in the learning process, especially in foreign language courses and materials that are not yet accessible. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies of the six students with visual disabilities in the Islamic Education Study Program. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman, case study analysis, and thematic analysis. The results of this study reveal that the learning strategies of students with visual disabilities are formed from internal and external factors. Internal factors such as type of blindness, experience and educational background, mastery of technology, as well as external factors such as social support and campus environment that contribute to shaping their learning strategies. The learning strategies of students with visual impairments consist of three types, namely cognitive, metacognitive, and socio-affective strategies. Cognitive strategies include: 1) memorizing, 2) utilizing technological assistance both screen readers and the internet such as google, youtube, and AI, 3) asking friends for help in overcoming difficulties in understanding material and doing college assignments. Metacognitive strategies include learning planning (choosing methods according to the type of course), monitoring, and evaluation (changing methods that are less effective, improving technology skills, and taking longer). Social strategies include: 1) building social relationships, 2) discussing, 3) utilizing support from the campus. Then, affective strategies, namely 1) motivation, 2) awareness of the importance of education, 3) independence in mobility, 4) management of stress and emotions, and 5) the need for more personalized learning.
