Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar sejarah siswa melalui Media Podcast. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan kurang lebih selama dua bulan dari bulan Mei sampai bulan Juni 2025 di SMAN 31 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XI Sejarah Tingkat Lanjut-B yang berjumlah 37 siswa dengan pertimbangan bahwa sebelum penelitian ini dilaksanakan rata-rata indikator motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 43,2% termasuk kategori sedang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti sebagai tenaga pengajar berkolaborasi dengan guru pamong. Pada penelitian ini, setiap siklusnya digunakan media siniar (podcast). Hasil yang diperoleh, yaitu pada siklus pertama didapatkan bahwa motivasi belajar sejarah siswa telah meningkat dari kondisi pra-siklus dengan rata-rata indikator motivasi sebesar 43,2% atau kategori sedang ke kategori tinggi sebesar 56,8%. Pada siklus II didapatkan hasil rata-rata indikator motivasi sebesar 73,2% termasuk kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini dicukupkan pada siklus II karena rata-rata motivasi belajar sejarah siswa berada pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI Sejarah Tingkat Lanjut-B di SMAN 31 Jakarta dengan menggunakan media siniar (podcast) telah berhasil. ***** This study aims to increase students motivation to learn history using podcasts. This research was conducted over approximately two months, from May to June 2025 at SMAN 31 Jakarta. This research was conducted in class XI Advanced History-B with a total of 37 students. Prior to the study, the average student learning motivation indicator was 43.2%, which is considered moderate. This research method used the Kemmis and McTaggart classroom action research model which is carrier out in two cycles. Each cycle consist of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In this study, the researcher, as a teaching staff, collaborated with a supervising teacher. In each cycle, podcasts were used. The results obtained in the first cycle showed that students motivation to learn history had increased from the pre-cycle level, with an average motivation indicator of 43.2%, or the moderate category, to a high category of 56.8%. In the second cycle, the average motivation indicator was 73.2%, which is in the high category. This study was concluded in the second cycle because the average student motivation to learn history was in the high category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the efforts made to increase the learning motivation of grade XI Advanced History-B students at SMAN 31 Jakarta using podcasts were successful.
