Abstract

Pembelajaran geografi secara kritis dan komprehensif sangat esensial dalam memahami fenomena spasial, namun keberagaman gaya belajar siswa sering kali belum sepenuhnya terakomodasi dalam strategi pengajaran guru di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kecenderungan gaya belajar siswa kelas XI dalam konteks pembelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 71 Jakarta. Dengan memahami preferensi belajar siswa, diharapkan dapat dirumuskan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan instrumen berupa angket tertutup berskala Likert yang disebarkan kepada 82 siswa sebagai sampel, yang dipilih melalui teknik proportional simple random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya belajar visual merupakan yang paling dominan, dengan persentase mencapai 82,9% (68 siswa). Gaya belajar ini jauh lebih menonjol dibandingkan gaya belajar auditori (9,7%) dan kinestetik (3,7%), serta gaya belajar kombinasi auditori-kinestetik (3,7%). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini merekomendasikan guru geografi untuk mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang lebih adaptif, dengan mengintegrasikan media visual seperti infografis, video edukatif, dan peta interaktif. Adaptasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran geografi, mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa, dan secara optimal mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar mereka. ***** Critical and comprehensive geography learning is essential for understanding spatial phenomena, but the diversity of students' learning styles is often not fully accommodated in teachers' classroom teaching strategies. This study aims to analyze the learning style preferences of eleventh-grade students in the context of geography learning at SMA Negeri 71 Jakarta. By understanding students' learning preferences, it is hoped that more effective learning strategies can be formulated. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with the instrument being a closed-ended Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 82 students as a sample, selected through proportional simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that the visual learning style was the most dominant, with a percentage reaching 82.9% (68 students). This learning style is much more prominent compared to the auditory learning style (9.7%) and kinesthetic (3.7%), as well as the combined auditory-kinesthetic learning style (3.7%). Thus, this study recommends that geography teachers implement more adaptive differentiated learning strategies by integrating visual media such as infographics, educational videos, and interactive maps. This adaptation is expected to increase the effectiveness of geography learning, encourage active student participation, and optimally accommodate their learning needs.
