Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas Negeri Jakarta dalam pelaksanaan Praktik Keterampilan Mengajar (PKM). Praktik keterampilan mengajar merupakan salah satu tahapan penting dalam proses pembentukan kompetensi profesional calon guru, namun dalam pelaksanaannya mahasiswa kerap menghadapi berbagai kesulitan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada mahasiswa yang telah melaksanakan PKM dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang paling dominan dialami mahasiswa berada pada aspek pelaksanaan pembelajaran, seperti pengelolaan kelas, pengalokasian waktu, serta penguasaan materi saat mengajar. Selain itu, faktor bimbingan, perencanaan pembelajaran, dan penilaian juga menjadi penyumbang kesulitan, meskipun dalam tingkat yang lebih rendah. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi pihak program studi dan sekolah mitra dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pelaksanaan PKM di masa mendatang. ********* This study aims to identify the factors contributing to the difficulties encountered by students of the Building Engineering Education Study Program, Majoring of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, in implementing Teaching Skills Practice (PKM). Teaching skills practice is a critical stage in developing the professional competence of prospective teachers; however, students often face various challenges during its implementation. This research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students who had completed their PKM and were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results reveal that the most prominent difficulties were found in the implementation phase of teaching, including classroom management, time allocation, and mastery of subject matter. Additionally, other contributing factors such as mentoring, lesson planning, and student assessment also presented challenges, though to a lesser extent. These findings are expected to serve as constructive input for the study program and partner schools in enhancing the effectiveness of future PKM implementation.
