Abstract
Pengetahuan peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta terhadap materi jenis-jenis awan masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasinya adalah melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan peserta didik setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran role playing. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain quasi experiment berbentuk one group pre-test post-test design. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X-C dan X-H. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test berbasis Google Form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta didik secara signifikan, ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan rata-rata nilai dari 57,53 menjadi 86,91, atau meningkat sebesar 29,38 poin. Peningkatan terjadi di seluruh tingkat kognitif, dengan capaian tertinggi pada tingkat C3 (menerapkan), yang artinya metode ini membantu peserta didik mengingat, memahami, menerapkan, dan menganalisis materi melalui simulasi yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Peningkatan juga terdapat pada jenis pengetahuan faktual dan prosedural, berarti siswa lebih mudah mengingat jenis awan berdasarkan bentuk dan ketinggian, serta memahami cara menghubungkan awan dengan cuaca. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran role playing memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan jenis-jenis awan peserta didik. ***** The knowledge of students in class X SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta on the types of clouds is still relatively low. One of the efforts to overcome this is through the application of appropriate learning methods. This study aims to determine the increase in students' knowledge after the application of the role playing learning method. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach with a quasi experiment design in the form of a one group pre-test post-test design. The research sample was students of class X-C and X-H. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test based on Google Form. The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge, indicated by an increase in the average score from 57.53 to 86.91, or an increase of 29.38 points. The increase occurred at all cognitive levels, with the highest achievement at the C3 (applying) level, which means that this method helps learners remember, understand, apply, and analyze material through simulations that are relevant to everyday life. Improvements were also found in the types of factual and procedural knowledge, meaning that students more easily remember the types of clouds based on shape and height, and understand how to relate clouds to weather. This shows that the application of the role playing learning method has a positive impact on increasing students' knowledge of cloud types.
