Abstract

Penelitian ini didorong oleh rendahnya hasil belajar di kelas VII SMP Terbuka Cakung 1 dalam mata pelajaran keterampilan, khususnya dalam materi Kerajinan Tekstil Tradisional (Batik). Kondisi pembelajaran sebelumnya masih didominasi oleh praktik konvensional yang menyebabkan partisipasi siswa menjadi pasif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas modul Teknik Batik dengan Canting Tulis terhadap hasil belajar siswa secara kognitif dengan metode Discovery learning. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan model Kemmis & McTaggart dengan empat fase, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi, yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa kelas VII SMP Terbuka Cakung 1. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi pengamatan, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif dan menggunakan triangulasi data dan triangulasi metodologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meningkatnya keberhasilan belajar siswa secara kognitif secara klasikal dari 67,57 (42%) pada pra siklus menjadi 80,90 (61%) pada siklus I, dan kemudian meningkat menjadi 85,15 (82%) pada siklus II, dan telah tercapainya kriteria keberhasilan penelitian yaitu ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 80%. Hasil uji T menunjukkan t = -5.722 dan sig. 0,000, dan nilai p = 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat efektivitas implementasi modul Teknik Membatik dengan Canting Tulis pada kelas VII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Terbuka Cakung 1 melalui metode tindakan Discovery learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.***** This research was driven by the low learning outcomes of Grade 7th students at Open Secondary School Cakung 1 in the subject of vocational skills, particularly in the topic of Traditional Textile Crafts (Batik). The previous learning process was dominated by conventional practice methods, which led to low student participation and passive engagement. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Batik Technique Module with Canting Tool using the Discovery learning method in improving students' learning outcomes. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, which consists of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection, carried out in two cycles. The research population consisted of 33 students of Grade 7th. Data collection methods included observation, tests, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using both qualitatively and descriptively quantitatively, and used data triangulation and methodological triangulation The results of the study showed an increase in the success of classical cognitive learning of students from 67.57 (42%) in the pre-cycle to 80.90 (61%) in the first cycle, and then increased to 85.15 (82%) in the second cycle, and the research success criteria have been achieved, namely classical learning completeness of 80%. The results of the T test showed t = -5.722 and sig. 0.000, and p value = 0.000 <0.05. These results indicate that there is an effectiveness of the implementation of the Batik Technique module with Canting Tool in 7th grade at Cakung 1 Open Secondary School through the Discovery learning action method in improving student learning outcomes.
