Abstract

Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran Reading to Learn berbantuan artikel dalam Mongabay.co.id terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Pada penelitian ini, terdapat dua kelas yang dijadikan sampel penelitian yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampel acak (random sampling), yaitu kelas XI-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI-3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing kelas sebanyak 36 siswa. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen pada saat pretest sebesar 52,97, sedangkan rata-rata yang diperoleh pada posttest sebesar 80,50. Adapun pada kelas kontrol, nilai rata-rata pretest 52,69 sedangkan pada posttest 69,08. Berdasarkan hasil uji prasyarat yang dilakukan dengan bantuan SPSS versi 30, uji normalitas (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) pada pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,200 dan pada posttest sebesar 0,069 yang keduanya berada di atas batas signifikansi 0,05, maka dinyatakan data berdistribusi normal. Adapun uji homogenitas, menunjukkan rata-rata (based on mean) memperoleh nilai Sig. 0,66 > 0,05, maka dinyatakan data bersifat homogen. Selain itu, uji hipotesis yang dilakukan menujukan hasil Sig. (2-tailed) 0,001 < 0,05, maka dapat dinyatakan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Reading to Learn berbantuan artikel dalam Mongabay.co.id mempunyai pengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran Reading to Learn, keterampilan menulis, teks cerpen ***** The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not there is an effect of the Reading to Learn learning model assisted by articles in Mongabay.co.id on short story writing skills of grade XI students of SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was grade XI students of SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. In this study, there were two classes used as research samples taken using random sampling techniques, namely class XI-1 as the experimental class and class XI-3 as the control class with 36 students in each class. The average pretest score in the experimental class was 52,97 while in the posttest it was 80,50. In the control class, the average pretest score was 52,69 while in the posttest it was 69,08. Based on the results of the prerequisite test conducted with the help of SPSS version 30, the normality test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) on the pretest and posttest of the experimental class obtained a Sig. value of 0,200 > 0.05 and in the posttest it was 0.069, so it is stated that the data is normally distributed. As for the homogeneity test, it shows that the average (based on mean) obtained a Sig. value of 0,66 > 0.05, so it is stated that the data is homogeneous. In addition, the hypothesis test conducted showed the results of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05, so it can be stated that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. This proves that the use of the Reading to Learn learning model assisted by articles in Mongabay.co.id has an effect on the short story writing skills of class XI students of SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta.
