Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Concept Sentence berbasis aplikasi Nearpod terhadap keterampilan menulis teks puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Diponegoro Jakarta pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang terdiri atas 3 kelas, yaitu VIII-A, VIII-B, VIII-C. Berdasarkan jumlah kelas VIII yang terdapat pada SMP Diponegoro Jakarta, diambil 1 kelas dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terpilih, yaitu kelas VIII A. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Data diperoleh melalui tes menulis teks puisi sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan menulis teks puisi setelah diterapkannya model Concept Sentence. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 58,79 meningkat menjadi 79,27 pada posttest. Uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikansi pretest sebesar 0,130 dan posttest sebesar 0,128, keduanya lebih besar dari 0,05. Uji homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data bersifat homogen dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,629 (> 0,05). Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), serta thitung sebesar 12,302 yang lebih besar dari ttabel 2,036, sehingga H₁ diterima dan H₀ ditolak. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari penggunaan model Concept Sentence berbasis aplikasi Nearpod terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks puisi. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ini dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif yang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menulis puisi pada siswa SMP. ***** The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Nearpod application-based concept Sentence model on the poetry writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. The population in this study consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMP Diponegoro Jakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year, comprising three classes, including VIII-A, VIII-B, and VIII-C. Based on the number of eighth-grade classes at SMP Diponegoro Jakarta, one class was selected using random sampling, namely class VIII-A. This study employed an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through poetry writing tests administered before and after the implementation of the learning model. The results of the study indicated a significant improvement in poetry writing skills following the implementation of the Concept Sentence model. The average pretest score of 58.79 increased to 79.27 on the posttest. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed with a significance value of 0.130 for the pretest and 0.128 for the posttest, both greater than 0.05. The homogeneity test showed that the data were homogeneous with a significance value of 0.629 (> 0.05). The results of the hypothesis test using a paired sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), and a t-value of 12.302, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.036, so H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. This proves that there is a positive and significant effect of using the Concept Sentence model based on the Nearpod application on improving poetry writing skills. Thus, this learning model can be used as an effective alternative in developing poetry writing skills in junior high school students
