Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan disiplin kerja karyawan PT Safemax Indonesia. Disiplin kerja merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi operasional perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan mengandalkan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi langsung di lapangan, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi aktivitas kerja karyawan, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku, jurnal, dan literatur lain yang relevan dengan topik disiplin kerja. Sumber data utama berupa transkrip wawancara dengan empat orang informan yang terdiri dari HRD, Project Control dan dua staf di PT Safemax Indonesia. Informan dipilih secara purposive karena dianggap memahami situasi dan dinamika kedisiplinan kerja di perusahaan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun perusahaan telah memiliki standar dan aturan yang jelas, penerapan disiplin kerja masih dihadapkan pada tantangan seperti komunikasi yang kurang efektif, beban kerja tinggi, rasa jenuh, serta faktor eksternal seperti cuaca dan kondisi lapangan. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan strategi manajerial dan pendekatan motivasional yang lebih adaptif guna membangun budaya kerja yang lebih disiplin dan produktif. ***** This study aims to describe and analyze issues related to employee work discipline at PT Safemax Indonesia. Work discipline is an important aspect in increasing the productivity and operational efficiency of the company. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The qualitative approach is used by relying on primary and secondary data. Primary data in this study were obtained through direct field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of employee work activities, while secondary data were obtained from books, journals, and other literature relevant to the topic of work discipline. The main data source was interview transcripts with four informants consisting of HRD, Project Control, and two staff at PT Safemax Indonesia. Informants were selected purposively because they were considered to understand the situation and dynamics of work discipline in the company. The results of the study indicate that although the company has clear standards and regulations, the implementation of work discipline still faces challenges such as ineffective communication, high workloads, boredom, and external factors such as weather and field conditions. These findings indicate the need for improved managerial strategies and a more adaptive motivational approach to build a more disciplined and productive work culture.
