Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh persepsi dukungan sosial keluarga, teman, dan significant other terhadap grit pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Sampel yang diteliti pada penelitian ini yaitu 385 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Indonesia. Metode pengambilan pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner melalui media google form. Kuesioner yang telah dibuat disebarkan kepada sampel penelitian melalui berbagai media sosial. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support yang disusun oleh Gregory Zimet (1988) dan The Grit Scale yang disusun oleh Angela Duckworth (2007). Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap grit secara simultan. Secara parsial, terdapat pengaruh dukungan keluarga terhadap grit individu, terdapat pengaruh dukungan significant other terhadap grit individu, dan tidak terdapat pengaruh dukungan teman terhadap grit individu. ***** This study aims to examine the influence of perceived social support from family, friends, and significant other on grit in final year students working on their thesis. This type of research is quantitative using convenience sampling techniques. The sample studied in this study were 385 final year students working on their thesis in Indonesia. The data collection method in this study was a questionnaire via google form. The questionnaire that had been created was distributed to the sample of the study through various social media. The measuring instrument used to measure the variables in this study was the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support compiled by Gregory Zimet (1988) and The Grit Scale compiled by Angela Duckworth (2007). The results of the study stated that there was a significant influence between the perception of social support on grit simultaneously. Partially there is an influence of family support on individual grit, there is an influence of significant other on individual grit, and there is no influence of friend support on individual grit.
