Abstract

Setiap tahunnya, tingkat pengangguran lulusan perguruan tinggi terus meningkat. Kondisi ini menjadi tantangan bagi mahasiswa sebagai calon profesional untuk mempersiapkan diri sebaik mungkin. Pengalaman magang dan penguasaan soft skill menjadi faktor krusial agar mereka dapat bersaing dan menyesuaikan diri dengan dinamika dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis mengenai pengaruh antara variabel independen yaitu Pengalaman Magang dan Soft Skill dengan variabel dependen yaitu kesiapan kerja. Pada penelitian ini memiliki populasi sebesar 150 responden mahasiswa tingkat akhir program studi S1 Manajemen dan D4 Pemasaran Digital, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan menggunakan alat analisis Partial Least Square (PLS), dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pengalaman Magang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kesiapan Kerja mahasiswa tingkat akhir. (2) Soft Skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka universitas diharapkan dapat menyediakan program magang yang lebih terstruktur dan memberikan program pengembangan untuk mendukung peningkatan soft skill. Universitas dapat menyediakan salah satu program Internship Exchange yang dimana mahasiswa bisa mendapatkan pengalaman global, dan dapat menyediakan pelatihan intensif yang mengajarkan mahasiswa dalam mengembangankan kemampuan soft skill.***** Every year, the unemployment rate of college graduates continues to increase. This condition is a challenge for students as prospective professionals to prepare themselves as well as possible. Internship experience and mastery of soft skills are crucial factors so that they can compete and adjust to the dynamics of the world of work. This study aims to analyze the influence between the independent variables, namely Internship Experience and Soft Skills with the dependent variable, namely work readiness. This study has a population of 150 respondents of final year students of S1 Management and D4 Digital Marketing study programs, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. This study uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method using the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis tool, and uses a quantitative approach with data collection through a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Internship Experience has a positive and significant effect on the Work Readiness of final year students. (2) Soft Skills have a positive and significant effect on the work readiness of final year students. Based on the results of the study, the university is expected to provide a more structured internship program and provide development programs to support the improvement of soft skills. The university can provide one of the Internship Exchange programs where students can gain global experience, and can provide intensive training that teaches students to develop soft skills.
