Abstract

Hasil penelitian memberikan implikasi bahwa model SSCS berbantuan peta pikiran dapat menjadi alternatif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik tentang pencemaran lingkungan.****Education plays a strategic role in cultivating students' creative thinking skills in response to the demands of the 21st century. These skills contribute to conceptual understanding and critical analysis in designing innovative solutions to real-world issues such as environmental pollution. One instructional model that can support the development of creative thinking is the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) model, supported by mind mapping. This study aims to examine the influence of the SSCS model assisted by mind maps on the creative thinking skills of tenth-grade students at SMAN 97 Jakarta in the context of environmental pollution. A quasi-experimental method was employed using a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. This study involved a sample of 70 students, divided equally into control and experimental groups, with 35 students in each group selected using the simple random sampling technique. The data were found to be normally distributed and homogeneous based on the results of the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test for normality and the F-test for homogeneity. Statistical hypothesis testing was conducted using an independent sample t-test, yielding a result of p < 0.05, indicating that the SSCS model with mind mapping had a significant effect on students' creative thinking skills related to environmental pollution. The findings suggest that the SSCS model assisted by mind maps can serve as an effective alternative for enhancing students’ creative thinking in environmental education.
