Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi hidrolisis garam terintegrasi Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup menggunakan model pembelajaran Case Based Instruction. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, wawancara, observasi, reflektif jurnal, dan LKPD yang terintegrasi Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 34 peserta didik Kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 5 Jakarta Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik berada pada katergori rendah sebesar 79%. Indikator berpikir kritis yang terbanyak dimiliki oleh peserta didik adalah indikator ‘Memberikan Penjelasan Sederhana’. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi hidrolisis garam dengan menggunakan Case Based Instruction belum dapat dikonstruksikan dengan baik. Kata kunci: Berpikir kritis, Case Based Instruction, hidrolisis garam, Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup*****This study aims to analyze students’ critical thinking skills on topic of salt hydrolysis integrated with Environmental Education using Case Based Instruction learning model. This study employs qualitative methods using study instruments such as critical thinking tests, interviews, observations, reflective journals, and worksheets integrated with Environmental Education. The subjects of this study are 34 students from Class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 5 Jakarta for the 2022/2023 academic year. The results of this study showed that students’ critical thinking ability is in the low category at 79%. The most commonly possessed critical thinking indicator by students is ‘Elementary Clarification’ indicator. Based on these study results, it can be concluded that critical thinking of students concerning on salt hydrolysis using CBI have not yet been effectively constructed.
