Abstract

Penelitan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh otoriter dan grit pada mahasiswa atlet. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purpossive sampling. Jumlah total sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 157 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Korelasi Spearman Rank. Pola asuh otoriter ibu diukur menggunakan 10-items dimensi Pola Asuh Otoriter pada instrumen parental authority questionnaire yang dikembangkan oleh John R. Buri (1991). Grit diukur dengan menggunakan 12-items Grit scale yang dikembangkan oleh A. L. Duckworth dkk. (2007). Penelitiaan ini menunjukan hasil bahwa pola asuh otoriter ibu memiliki hubungan dengan grit pada mahasiswa atlet. ***** This study was conducted to examine whether there is a relationship between authoritarian parenting and grit among student-athletes. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling, with a total of 157 respondents participating in the study. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank Correlation method. Maternal authoritarian parenting was measured using the 10-item Authoritarian Parenting dimension from the Parental Authority Questionnaire developed by John R. Buri (1991). Grit was measured using the 12-item Grit Scale developed by A. L. Duckworth dkk. (2007). The results of the study showed that maternal authoritarian parenting has a relationship with grit in student-athletes.
