Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE (reading, indentifying the problem, contructing the solution, solving the problem, reviewing the problem solving, and exteding the problem solving) terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks cerita fantasi siswa kelas 7 SMPN 27 Kota Bekasi. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design, yaitu dengan menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang masing-masing kelas berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai sampel. Data penelitian yang diolah didapatkan dari tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dan uraian keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks cerita fantasi yang sudah di validasi isi oleh expert judgement. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Sebelum dilakukan analisis, dilakukan uji prasyarat mencakup uji normalitas dengan Shapiro Wilk dan uji homogenitas dengan Uji Fisher. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, nilai signifikansi atau p-value data kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar >0,05 pada uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas yang berarti data pada penelitian ini normal dan homogen. Selanjutnya, pada uji t ditemukan nilai signifikansi atau p-value sebesar <0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan nilai yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen (diberikan perlakuan) dan kelas kontrol (tdiak diberikan perlakuan). Dapat disimpulkan, hasil dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran RICOSRE memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas 7 SMPN 27 Bekasi. Alat pengukuran skor siswa menggunakan Taksonomi Barret yang mencakup pemahaman literal, mereorganisai, pemahaman inferensial, evaluasi dan apresiai. Berkat dari melakukan model pembelajaran ini, peserta didik dapat lebih bersemangat dalam menunjukkan pikiran kritis dan kreatifnya terhadap persoalan-persoalan yang ada, berkolaborasi antar teman dengan baik, serta meningkatkan keterampilan dalam memahami bacaan teks cerita fantasi. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the RICOSRE learning model (reading, identifying problems, constructing solutions, solving problems, reviewing problem solving, and expanding problem solving) on reading comprehension skills of fantasy story texts of grade 7 students of SMPN 27 Kota Bekasi. This study is a quantitative experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design, namely by using an experimental class and a control class, each class consisting of 32 students as samples. The research data processed were obtained from tests in the form of multiple choice questions and descriptions of reading comprehension skills of fantasy story texts that had been validated by expert judgment. The data analysis technique in this study was the t-test with a significance level of 0.05. Before the analysis was carried out, a meeting test was carried out which included a normality test with Shapiro Wilk and a homogeneity test with the Fisher Test. Based on the results of the data analysis, the significance value or p-value of the experimental class and control class data was >0.05 in the normality test and homogeneity test, which means that the data in this study were normal and homogeneous. Furthermore, in the t-test, a significance value or p-value of <0.05 was found, which means that there was a significant difference in value between the experimental class (given treatment) and the control class (not given treatment). It can be concluded that the results of this study are that the RICOSRE learning model has an effect on the reading comprehension skills of grade 7 students of SMPN 27 Bekasi. The student score measurement tool uses Barrett's Taxonomy which includes literal understanding, reorganizing, inferential understanding, evaluation and appreciation. This learning model enables students to be more enthusiastic in showing their critical and creative thinking towards existing problems, collaborating well with friends, and improving their skills in understanding fantasy story texts.
