Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap dinamika kemitraan strategis antara Pondok Pesantren Al-Ma'arif Manba'ul Ulum dan alumni dalam peningkatan kapabilitas dinamis yayasan. Menggunakan perspektif kapabilitas dinamis yang meliputi sensing, seizing, dan transforming, penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pimpinan pesantren dan alumni, observasi partisipatif, serta studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Kapabilitas sensing berhasil memanfaatkan jaringan alumni sebagai sumber informasi tren pendidikan dan kebutuhan masyarakat, memungkinkan pesantren tetap relevan dan responsif; (2) Kapabilitas seizing menunjukkan kemampuan alumni berkontribusi melalui finansial, keahlian, jaringan, dan waktu dalam pengembangan program-program baru yang memberikan nilai tambah; (3) Kapabilitas transforming dalam proses perubahan organisasi dan transfer teknologi masih belum optimal karena menghadapi hambatan struktural dan kultural. Penelitian merekomendasikan penguatan model kemitraan melalui implementasi sistem "waqf land synergy partnership" dengan penyusunan perencanaan jangka panjang pemanfaatan aset wakaf, pembangunan alumni intelligence network, dan penerapan transformasi bertahap yang sensitif terhadap nilai-nilai pesantren. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan mengkaji perbandingan model kemitraan pesantren-alumni di berbagai daerah untuk mengidentifikasi best practices melalui studi komparatif berdasarkan tipe pesantren. ***** This study aims to reveal the dynamics of strategic partnership between Al-Ma'arif Manba'ul Ulum Islamic Boarding School and its alumni in enhancing the foundation's dynamic capabilities. Using the dynamic capabilities perspective encompassing sensing, seizing, and transforming, this research employs a qualitative approach with case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with pesantren leaders and alumni, participatory observation, and documentation study. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show: (1) Sensing capabilities successfully utilize alumni networks as sources of information on educational trends and societal needs, enabling the pesantren to remain relevant and responsive; (2) Seizing capabilities demonstrate alumni's ability to contribute through financial resources, expertise, networks, and time in developing new value-added programs; (3) Transforming capabilities in organizational change processes and technology transfer remain suboptimal due to structural and cultural barriers. The study recommends strengthening the partnership model through implementation of a "waqf land synergy partnership" system with long-term planning for waqf asset utilization, building an alumni intelligence network, and implementing gradual transformation approaches sensitive to pesantren values. Future research is suggested to examine comparative models of pesantren-alumni partnerships across different regions to identify best practices through comparative studies based on pesantren types.
