Abstract
Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, namun dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan kendala seperti minimnya bahan ajar yang interaktif dan kurang menarik minat siswa, khususnya pada materi teks deskripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis teks deskripsi dengan media Seesaw untuk siswa kelas VII SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket validasi dari ahli materi dan ahli media, serta tanggapan guru Bahasa Indonesia dan peserta didik kelas VII dalam uji coba terbatas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan. Validasi ahli materi menghasilkan skor rata-rata 4,46 (kategori sangat layak) dengan persentase 89,3%, dan validasi ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 5 (kategori sangat layak) dengan persentase 100%. Tanggapan guru Bahasa Indonesia menunjukkan persentase 100% (kategori sangat layak), dan uji coba terbatas oleh peserta didik memperoleh persentase 85% (kategori sangat layak). Penggunaan media Seesaw mendukung proses menulis teks deskripsi melalui fitur-fitur interaktif yang memfasilitasi kegiatan pra-menulis, penyusunan draft, hingga penerapan kaidah kebahasaan secara praktis dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar menulis teks deskripsi dengan media Seesaw ini sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VII. However, in practice, challenges remain such as the lack of interactive teaching materials and low student engagement, particularly in descriptive text writing. This study aims to develop descriptive text writing teaching materials using Seesaw media for seventh grade junior high school students. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected through observation, interviews, validation questionnaires by material and media experts, as well as feedback from Indonesian language teachers and seventh-grade students during a limited trial. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative. The results indicate that the developed teaching materials meet the eligibility criteria. Material expert validation produced an average score of 4.46 with an eligibility percentage of 89.3%, while media expert validation produced an average score of 5 with a 100% eligibility percentage; both are categorized as "very feasible." Teacher feedback also showed 100% eligibility, and the limited trial by students yielded 85%, also categorized as "very feasible." The use of Seesaw media supports the writing process through interactive features that facilitate pre-writing activities, drafting, and the application of language rules in a practical and enjoyable way. Therefore, the descriptive text writing teaching materials developed using Seesaw media are highly suitable for use as learning resources in Indonesian language learning to improve students’ writing skills.
