Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Match and Share Group (MSG) terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X SMK Farmasi Mandala Tiara Bangsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen. Perlakuan diberikan melalui pembelajaran langsung di kelas menggunakan metode Match and Share Group. Instrumen dan rubrik penilaian telah divalidasi sebelum digunakan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai posttest siswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai pretest, yaitu dari rata-rata 53 menjadi 75,86. Uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai Lo = 0,179 < Ltabel = 0,249 (pretest) dan Lo = 0,186 < Ltabel = 0,249 (posttest) pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Uji homogenitas menunjukkan data memiliki varians yang homogen dengan Fhitung = 1,352 < Ftabel = 4,256. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan thitung = 8,168 > ttabel = 2,262, sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan metode Match and Share Group terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa. Kata Kunci: Match and Share Group, kemampuan menulis, teks eksposisi, kuantitatif, siswa SMK*****This study aims to determine the effect of the Match and Share Group (MSG) learning method on the exposition writing skills of tenth-grade students at SMK Farmasi Mandala Tiara Bangsa. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data were collected through pretests and posttests administered in the experimental class. The treatment was carried out through direct classroom instruction using the Match and Share Group method. The assessment instruments and rubrics were validated prior to use. The results showed that students' posttest scores were higher than their pretest scores, with the average increasing from 53 to 75.86. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, with Lo = 0.179 < Ltable = 0.249 (pretest) and Lo = 0.186 < Ltable = 0.249 (posttest), at a significance level of α = 0.05. The homogeneity test showed that the data had homogeneous variance, with Fcount = 1.352 < Ftable = 4.256. The hypothesis testing revealed that tcount = 8.032 > ttable = 2.262, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It can thus be concluded that the Match and Share Group method has a significant effect on students’ exposition writing skills.
