Abstract

*****ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual(SAVI) dengan berbantuanmedia Domino card terhadap keterampilan menulis surat dinas siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Adapun desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. Dalam desain ini terdapat dua kelas yang dijadikan sampel penelitian yakni kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII D kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pretest dan post test melalui tes menulis surat dinas pada kedua kelas. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji normalitasShapiro-Wilk, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig.) dari hasilpretest sebesar 0,742 dan post test sebesar 0,376. Karena nilai signifikansi > 0,05 maka H_0ditolak dan H_1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil homogenitas Based on Mean menunjukkan hasil Sig. 0,880 > 0,05. Hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,005. Apabila merujuk pada tabel t, maka didapatkan t hitung sebesar 6.210 dengan df sebesar 23. Pada tabel T yang sesuai dengan nilai tersebut adalah 2.807. Oleh karena itu dapat diketahui bahwa t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel (6.210 > 2.807). Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) berbantuan media Domino card terhadap keterampilan menulis surat dinas pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, SAVI, domino card, menulis surat dinas. *****ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) learning model assisted by Domino card media on the business letter writing skills of VII Grade students. This research employs an experimental method using a Quasi Experimental Design with a Pretest –Post test Control Group Design. The data source in this study consists of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta. Two classes were used as research samples: class VII A as the experimental group and class VII D as the control group. Data collection was conducted using pretest s and post test s through business letter writing tests in both classes. Based on the results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the significance values (Sig.) of the pretest and post test were 0.742 and 0.376, respectively. Since the significance values are greater than 0.05, H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. The results of the homogeneity test Based on Mean show a significance value of 0.880 > 0.05. The hypothesis test results show a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.005. Referring to the t-table, the calculated t-value is 6.210 with df = 23. The corresponding critical t-value is 2.807. Therefore, it is evident that the calculated t-value is greater than the critical t-value (6.210 > 2.807). Thus, it is concluded that the use of the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) model assisted by Domino card media has a significant effect on the business letter writing skills of VIIgrade students at SMP Negeri 28 Jakarta.
