Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya efektivitas komunikasi di ruang publik, khususnya dalam layanan transportasi massal, seperti Kereta Rel Listrik (KRL) Jabodetabek. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam pengumuman KRL bukan hanya berfungsi sebagai penyampai informasi, tetapi juga mencerminkan interaksi sosial antara institusi dan pengguna layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis tindak tutur ilokusi dan bentur-bentuk tuturan yang terdapat dalam pengumuman lisan KRL. Data diperoleh dari tiga sumber utama, yaitu transkrip pengumuman lisan dalam perjalanan rute Pondok Cina-Manggarai, transkrip pengumuman rute Klender-Cikarang, serta skrip resmi pengumuman KRL dari PT KAI Commuter. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan landasan teori tindak tutur dari Searle (1979) yang mencakup lima jenis: asertif, direktif, komisif, ekspresif, dan deklaratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tindak tutur yang paling dominan adalah asertif dan direktif. Tindak tutur asertif yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi faktual terkait perjalanan. Sementara tindak tutur direktif berfungsi memberikan imbauan, anjuran, maupun larangan kepada penumpang. Selain itu, ditemukan pula tindak tutur ekspresif berupa sapaan dan ucapan terima kasih yang memperkuat aspek kesantunan dan keharmonisan dalam berkomunikasi. Secara keseluruhan, terdapat 15 bentuk tuturan berbeda yang teridentifikasi dari ketiga sumber data. Dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pengumuman di dalam KRL merupakan praktik komunikasi pragmatik yang berfungsi tidak hanya secara informatif, tetapi juga sosial dan institusional, mencerminkan peran bahasa dalam mengelola perilaku dan menjaga ketertiban di ruang publik. Kata kunci: tindak tutur, ilokusi, pragmatik, pengumuman lisan, KRL Commuterline, kesantunan. ***** This study is motivated by the importance of effective communication in public spaces, particularly in mass transportation services such as the Jabodetabek Electric Rail Train (KRL). The language used in KRL announcements functions not only as a medium for conveying information but also as a reflection of social interaction between institutions and service users. This research aims to describe the types of illocutionary speech acts and the forms of utterances found in KRL oral announcements. Data were collected from three main sources: transcripts of oral announcements on the Pondok Cina–Manggarai route, transcripts from the Klender–Cikarang route, and official KRL announcement scripts from PT KAI Commuter. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, using Searle’s (1979) speech act theory, which includes five categories: assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. The results indicate that the most dominant types of speech acts are assertive and directive. Assertive acts are used to deliver factual information related to the journey, while directive acts serve to provide appeals, suggestions, or prohibitions to passengers. Additionally, expressive acts such as greetings and expressions of gratitude were also identified, reinforcing politeness and harmony in communication. In total, 15 different forms of utterances were identified across the three data sources. The study concludes that oral announcements in KRL are a form of pragmatic communication practice that serves not only an informative function but also a social and institutional one, reflecting the role of language in managing public behavior and maintaining order in public spaces.
