Abstract
Abstrak Rohmah Qonitatulqoriroh 1205621077. "Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Word Search Puzzle Terhadap Penguasaan Kosakata Bahasa Arab (Penelitian Eksperimen pada Kelas VII SMP Islam PB Soedirman Jakarta)." Skripsi. Jakarta: Jurusan Penddikan Bahasa Arab Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta 2025. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Word Search Puzzle terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas VII SMP Islam PB Soedirman. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari 65 siswa, yaitu 33 siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelompok kontrol dan 32 siswa kelas VII E sebagai kelompok eksperimen, yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 soal yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan.. Uji normalitas menggunakan One Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov menunjukkan bahwa data kelompok kontrol tidak berdistribusi normal karena nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0,006, yaitu kurang dari 0,05. Sedangkan data kelompok eksperimen berdistribusi normal karena nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0,200, yaitu lebih dari 0,05. Uji homogenitas menggunakan Levene’s Test menunjukkan bahwa varians antar kelompok homogen karena nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,053, yaitu lebih dari 0,05. Selanjutnya, uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan Mann-Whitney U Test. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. sebesar 0,017 yang berarti kurang dari 0,05. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Word Search Puzzle terhadap pemahaman kosakata bahasa Arab. Terdapat pula perbedaan dalam pemahaman kosakata antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan media Word Search Puzzle dan mereka yang belajar menggunakan media dengan metode percakapan, di mana rata-rata nilai lebih tinggi pada kelompok yang menggunakan media Word Search Puzzle. Jakarta: Department of Arabic Language Education, Faculty of Language and Arts, State University of Jakarta 2025. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Word Search Puzzle learning media on the Arabic vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at SMP Islam PB Soedirman. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 65 students, with 33 students from class VII A as the control group and 32 students from class VII E as the experimental group, selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 30 questions administered before and after the treatment. The normality test using the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test showed that the data from the control group were not normally distributed, as the significance value was 0.006, which is less than 0.05. Meanwhile, the data from the experimental group were normally distributed, with a significance value of 0.200, which is greater than 0.05. The homogeneity test using Levene’s Test indicated that the variance between the two groups was homogeneous, with a significance value of 0.053, which is greater than 0.05. Furthermore, the hypothesis was tested using the Mann-Whitney U Test. The test result showed an Asymptotic Significance value of 0.017, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that there is a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Accordingly, there is an effect of using the Word Search Puzzle instructional media on the comprehension of Arabic vocabulary. There are also differences in vocabulary comprehension between students who learned using the Word Search Puzzle media and those who learned using a media based on the conversation method, where the average scores were higher in the group that used the Word Search Puzzle media.
