Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika melalui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) modifikasi Realistik Mathematic Education (RME) pada materi pecahan. Salah satu tantangan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika karena siswa sering menghadapi hambatan dalam memahami isi soal, memilih strategi yang sesuai, serta mengubah permasalahan ke dalam bentuk matematika. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut memerlukan model pembelajaran yang relevan yaitu Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dimodifikasi dengan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Gedong 03 Pagi 2024/2025. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus dengan 2 pertemuan setiap siklusnya. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan instrumen tes tertulis. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan analisis kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, pada siklus I (55,17 %) 16 siswa yang mencapai target nilai. Pada siklus II (75,86 %) 22 siswa yang mencapai target nilai. Pada siklus III (93,1 %) 27 siswa yang mencapai target nilai. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) modifikasi Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika kelas V SDN Gedong 03 Pagi. ***** This study aims to improve the ability to solve math story problems through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model modified by Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) on fraction material. One of the main challenges in learning mathematics is the low ability of students in solving math story problems because students often face obstacles in understanding the contents of the problem, choosing the appropriate strategy, and converting problems into mathematical form. Efforts to overcome these problems require a relevant learning model, namely Problem Based Learning (PBL) modified with Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SDN Gedong 03 Pagi 2024/2025. This research is a class action research (PTK) conducted in 3 cycles with 2 meetings per cycle. This research instrument consists of teacher and student activity observation sheets, and written test instruments. While the data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis. Based on the results of the research conducted, in cycle I (55.17%) 16 students reached the target value. In cycle II (75.86%) 22 students reached the target value. In cycle III (93.1%) 27 students reached the target value. Thus, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model modified by Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) can improve students' ability to solve math story problems.
