Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna asosiatif yang terdapat pada lirik-lirik lagu dalam album Berdamai karya Ghea Indrawari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi. Data penelitian diambil dari lirik sepuluh lagu yang terdapat dalam album Berdamai karya Ghea Indrawari melalui deskripsi pada video lirik dari sepuluh lagu dalam album Berdamai yang diunggah oleh kanal YouTube StarHits Music. Penelitian berlangsung sejak Januari hingga Juli 2025. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan 50 data ungkapan lirik lagu yang mengandung lima jenis makna asosiatif, yaitu makna konotatif, stilistik, afektif, reflektif, dan kolokatif menurut teori makna asosiatif Geoffrey Leech. Selain itu, ditemukan pula proses morfologis yang terjadi untuk membentuk ungkapan dengan makna asosiatif berupa afiksasi, reduplikasi, dan komposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna asosiatif beserta jenis-jenisnya muncul dalam satuan bahasa yang digunakan, yaitu kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat. Jenis makna yang paling dominan muncul adalah makna konotatif (25 data), disusul makna afektif (17 data), makna reflektif (16 data), makna stilistik (15 data), dan makna kolokatif (8 data). Sementara proses morfologis ditemukan sebanyak 19 data dengan klasifikasi, yaitu 15 data berupa kata dan 4 data berupa gabungan kata. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam mengenai jenis-jenis makna asosiatif dalam konteks kebahasaan, khususnya dalam lirik lagu. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data collection technique used is the documentation technique. The research data was obtained from the lyrics of ten songs in Ghea Indrawari's album Berdamai through descriptions in the lyric videos of the ten songs in the album Berdamai uploaded by the YouTube channel StarHits Music. The research was conducted from January to July 2025. Based on the analysis results, 50 song lyric expressions containing five types of associative meanings were found, namely connotative, stylistic, affective, reflective, and collocative meanings according to Geoffrey Leech's associative meaning theory. Additionally, morphological processes were identified that occur to form expressions with associative meanings, including affixation, reduplication, and composition. The research results show that associative meanings and their types appear in the language units used, namely words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. The most dominant type of meaning that emerged was connotative meaning (25 data), followed by affective meaning (17 data), reflective meaning (16 data), stylistic meaning (15 data), and collocative meaning (8 data). Meanwhile, morphological processes were found in 19 data points, classified as follows: 15 data points were words, and 4 data points were word combinations. This study is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the types of associative meanings in a linguistic context, particularly in song lyrics.
