Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan peer attachment dengan motivasi peserta didik untuk bersekolah pada peserta didik SMP Negeri di Wilayah Jakarta Pusat. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 495 peserta didik dari empat SMP Negeri dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Alat ukur yang digunakan Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) (G. Armsden & Greenbag, 2023) dan Inventory School of Motivasi (ISM) (Mcinerney & Sinclair, 1991). Penelitian ini menunjukkan peer attachment dengan kategori kelekatan aman (51%) dan kelekatan kurang aman (49%) dengan aspek komunikasi tertinggi (57%). Motivasi bersekolah dalam kategori sedang (80%) peserta didik memiliki motivasi sekolah yang cukup baik, terlebih pada aspek dukungan orang tua dan penilaian terhadap sekolah. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menghasilkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,262 menunjukkan bahwa arah hubungan bersifat positif dengan kategori lemah, artinya semakin baik peer attachment yang dimiliki peserta didik, maka semakin tinggi pula motivasi bersekolah mereka. Perhitungan koefisien determinasi diperoleh nilai sebesar 6,86% yang berarti kontribusi peer attachment dengan peningkatan motivasi bersekolah sebesar 6,86% sedangkan sisanya 93,14% dipengaruhi oleh oleh faktor lain misalnya dukungan orang tua, teman sebaya, peran guru, lingkungan sekolah, dan faktor individu dari peserta didik itu sendiri. Kata Kunci: Peer Attachment, Peserta didik, Motivasi Bersekolah ***** This study aims to identify the relationship between peer attachment and students motivation to attend school in public junior high school students in the Central Jakarta area. The sample used in the study was 495 students from four public junior high schools using accidental sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of correlation research. Measuring instruments used Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) (G. Armsden & Greenbag, 2023) and Inventory School of Motivation (ISM)(Mcinerney & Sinclair, 1991). This study showed peer attachment with secure attachment (51%) and insecure attachment (49%) categories with the highest communication aspect (57%). School motivation in the medium category (80%) of students have a fairly good school motivation, especially in the aspects of parental support and assessment of school. The results of the Spearman correlation test resulted in a significant relationship with a correlation coefficient value of 0.262 indicating that the direction of the relationship is positive with a weak category, meaning that the better the peer attachment that students have, the higher their school motivation. The calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained a value of 6.86%, which means that the contribution of peer attachment to increasing school motivation is 6.86%, while the remaining 93.14% is influenced by other factors such as the support of the parents.
