Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan guru dalam menata kelas dengan iklim kelas di Taman Kanak-Kanak Kecamatan Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya penataan lingkungan belajar anak usia dini yang aman, nyaman, dan mendukung proses pembelajaran secara optimal. Penataan kelas yang baik oleh guru diyakini dapat menciptakan iklim kelas yang kondusif, yang pada akhirnya mendorong keterlibatan aktif anak dalam kegiatan belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 66 guru. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket tertutup yang divalidasi dan diuji reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan guru dalam menata kelas dengan iklim kelas, khususnya kemampuan guru dalam menata kelas pada aspek keleluasaan pandangan, mudah dicapai, keluwesan, kenyamanan dan keindahan serta iklim kelas pada aspek keterlibatan, afiliasi, dukungan dari guru dan kejelasan aturan. Aspek tertinggi berada pada kenyamanan dan dukungan dari guru. Koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,65 dan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah semakin tinggi kemampuan guru dalam menata kelas, maka semakin baik pula iklim kelas yang terbentuk di lembaga PAUD. Kata kunci: kemampuan guru, penataan kelas, iklim kelas, pendidikan anak usia dini ***** This study aimed to determine the relationship between teachers' ability to organize classrooms and the classroom climate in kindergartens in Duren Sawit Subdistrict, East Jakarta. The background of this study was based on the importance of organizing a safe, comfortable, and supportive learning environment for early childhood education that optimizes the learning process. Effective classroom management by teachers was believed to create a conducive classroom climate, which ultimately encouraged children's active participation in learning activities. The research method used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sampling technique employed cluster random sampling with a sample size of 66 teachers. The research instrument consisted of a validated and reliability-tested closed-ended questionnaire. The results of data analysis using Pearson's correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between teachers' ability to arrange classrooms and classroom climate, particularly teachers' ability in terms of visibility, accessibility, flexibility, comfort, and aesthetics, as well as classroom climate in terms of engagement, affiliation, teacher support, and clarity of rules. The highest aspects were comfort and support from teachers. The correlation coefficient was r = 0.65, and the significance level was p < 0.05. This study concludes that the higher the teacher's ability to organize the classroom, the better the classroom climate is in early childhood education institutions.
