Abstract
***** This study explores the speech development of children aged 2–3 years by focusing on vocabulary, syntax, and semantics, while also examining the factors that influence it and the role of parents and teachers in providing stimulation. Using a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained from fourteen national and international articles published between 2020 and 2025, selected through specific criteria and analyzed thematically. The results indicate that children at this stage begin to acquire basic vocabulary, form simple sentences, and understand utterances in a concrete context. Their speaking ability is shaped by biological readiness, cognitive growth, social interaction, parenting practices, and digital media exposure. Active and consistent verbal stimulation from parents and teachers plays a crucial role in supporting children’s language development. This study provides useful insights for parents, educators, and researchers in optimizing early childhood speech development.
