Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan sikap ilmiah peserta didik kelas V SDN Mampang Prapatan 03 Jakarta Selatan melalui penerapaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya sikap ilmiah yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya rasa ingin tahu yang kurang, partisipasi dalam diskusi yang rendah, serta peserta didik menunjukkan ketidak mampuan dalam mengungkapkan pendapat dan menyimpulkan materi. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua sikuls dengan empat pertemuan setiap siklusnya. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan angket dengan skala likert untuk mengukur perkembangan sikap ilmiah siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam sikap ilmiah siswa. Pada siklus I, persentase siswa yang menunjukkan sikap ilmiah aktif mencapai 74%, dan meningkat menjadi 93% pada siklus II. Selain itu, keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran mencapai 93%, melampaui target yang ditetapkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna, mendorong siswa untuk berpikir kritis, bekerja sama, dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan kelas. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Problem Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan sikap ilmiah siswa sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Laerning, Pembelajaran IPA, Penelitaian Tindakan Kelas, Sikap Ilmiah, Siswa sekolah dasar. ***** This study was conducted with the aim of improving the scientific attitudes of fifth grade students of SDN Mampang Prapatan 03 South Jakarta through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in science subjects. This research was motivated by the low scientific attitude shown by the lack of curiosity, low participation in discussions, and students showing inability to express opinions and conclude material. By using the method of classroom action research (PTK) conducted in two cycles with four meetings per cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires with a Likert scale to measure the development of students' scientific attitudes. The results showed a significant increase in students' scientific attitudes. In cycle I, the percentage of students who showed active scientific attitudes reached 74%, and increased to 93% in cycle II. In addition, student engagement in learning reached 93%, exceeding the set target. This conclusion shows that the PBL model is able to create meaningful learning, encouraging students to think critically, work together, and actively participate in classroom activities. Thus, the application of the Problem Based Learning model is proven effective in improving the scientific attitudes of elementary school students.
