Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan penerapan bimbingan kelompok teknik role playing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa kelas VIII MTs. Sampel penelitian adalah 7 siswa kelas VIII MTs. Insan Kreasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan metode penelitian Pre-experimental design dengan jenis one group pretest – posttest design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan adaptasi instrumen dari buku Interpersonal Communication karya Joseph A. DeVito. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi awal sebesar 53 kategori sedang dimana skor sampel penelitian memiliki tingkat komunikasi interpersonal sedang. Dan kondisi akhir setelah diberikan treatment meningkat dengan skor 76,1 kategori tinggi. Sehingga fenomena ini menunjukkan bahwa kondisi bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik role playing bisa meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. ***** This study aims to implement group guidance using the role playing technique to improve interpersonal communication skills among 8th-grade students at MTs. The research sample consisted of 7 students from class VIII of MTs Insan Kreasi. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and the research employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. Data were collected using an adapted instrument based on the book Interpersonal Communication by Joseph A. DeVito. The results showed that the initial condition had a score of 53, which falls into the moderate category, indicating that the students had a moderate level of interpersonal communication skills. After the treatment, the final condition improved with a score of 76.1, which falls into the high category. This finding indicates that group guidance using the role playing technique can improve students’ interpersonal communication skills.
