Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompetensi interpersonal dengan regulasi diri pada remaja SMP Jakarta Timur. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode survei, serta teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi pearson dan uji koefisien determinasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 383 responden yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire (ICQ) sebagai alat ukur kompetensi interpersonal dan Self-Regulation Questionnaire (SSRQ) sebagai alat ukur regulasi diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kompetensi interpersonal dan regulasi diri dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000<0.05 dan nilai pearson correlation positif sebesar 0.553, dari hasil pengujian koefisien determinasi didapat nilai signifikasi sebesar 0.306. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif secara signifikan antara kompetensi interpersonal (X) dengan regulasi diri(Y) pada remaja di SMP Jakarta Timur dengan tingkat korelasi sedang. Selain itu pengaruh kompetensi interpersonal (X) terhadap regulasi diri (Y) pada remaja di SMP Jakarta Timur diketahui sebesar 30.6%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengembangkan layanan yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi interpersonal dan regulasi diri pada remaja. **** This study aims to examine the relationship between interpersonal competence and self-regulation among junior high school adolescents in East Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach using a survey method, with data analysis techniques including Pearson correlation test and coefficient of determination test. The sample consisted of 383 respondents, selected through simple random sampling. The data collection instruments used were the Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire (ICQ) to measure interpersonal competence and the Self-Regulation Questionnaire (SSRQ) to measure self-regulation.The results of the study indicated a significant relationship between interpersonal competence and self-regulation, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a positive Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.553. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test showed a significant value of 0.306, indicating that there is a moderate positive correlation between interpersonal competence (X) and self-regulation (Y) among adolescents in junior high schools in East Jakarta. Additionally, interpersonal competence (X) was found to contribute 30.6% to self-regulation (Y) in the adolescent population studied. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for guidance and counseling teachers in developing interventions related to interpersonal competence and self-regulation among adolescents.
