Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan orientasi mobilitas sosial dan komunikasi (OMSK) pada tahap sensori taktil menggunakan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) bagi peserta didik dengan hambatan penglihatan di TK A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu satu peserta didik tunanetra di Taman Kanak-Kanak A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik mengalami peningkatan keterampilan orientasi, monilitas, sosial dan komunikasi (OMSK) pada tahap sensori taktil dengan menggunakan metode contextual teaching and learning, dan memakai 7 sintaks metode kontekstual yaitu konstruktivisme, bertanya, inquiry, masyarakat belajar, pemodelan, refleksi, dan penilaian autentik. Pada siklus I, peserta didik mengalami peningkatan namun belum maksimal, masih ada beberapa media yang belum berani dipegang karena memiliki tekstur halus, lengket, dan lembek. Pada siklus II, peserta didik mengalami peningkatan nilai dari kemampuan awal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Contextual Teaching and Learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan OMSK pada tahap sensori taktil bagi peserta didik dengan hambatan penglihatan usia dini di TK A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Jakarta. ***** This study aims to improve orientation, mobility, social, and communication (OMSC) skills at the tactile sensory stage using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method for early childhood learners with visual impairments at TK A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Jakarta. The research employed a classroom action research design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The subject of the study was one visually impaired early childhood learner. Data collection techniques included observation and testing.The results showed an improvement in the learner’s OMSC skills at the tactile sensory stage following the implementation of the CTL method, which involved seven key components: constructivism, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. In Cycle I, the learner showed progress, although it was not yet optimal, as some materials with soft, sticky, and mushy textures were still difficult for the learner to touch. In Cycle II, the learner demonstrated further improvement in tactile engagement and overall skill development. It can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning method effectively enhances OMSC skills at the tactile sensory stage in early childhood learners with visual impairments at TK A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Jakarta.
