Abstract

Sekolah sebagai institusi pendidikan formal harus menyelenggarakan pembelajaran yang unggul, di mana peserta didik berperan aktif dan termotivasi dalam belajar, sementara guru bertindak sebagai fasilitator inovatif. Dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi, yang bersifat teoritis dan kompleks, tantangan utama adalah meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi peserta didik agar lebih efektif. Motivasi belajar berperan penting dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan prestasi peserta didik, sementara keterlibatan aktif mereka dalam proses belajar membantu pemahaman dan retensi materi. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini perlu dilakukan guna mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh metode belajar STAD terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI, khususnya pada mata pelajaran sosiologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen desaian pre-test and post-test control group. Variabel yang digunakan adalah vairabel bebas (X) yaitu Cooperative Learning tipe STAD dan variabel terikat (Y) yaitu motivasi belajar sosiologi. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Mei 2025 di SMA Negeri 5 Jakarta. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu 288 orang dengan sampel 72 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan jenis teknik sampling purposive, sehingga diperoleh peserta didik kelas XI-1 dan XI-2 sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner berskala likert, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan serta teknik pengolahan dan analisis data berupa statistik deskriptif dibantu oleh Microsoft Excel dan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara model pembelajaraan cooperative learning tipe STAD terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Terbukti terdapat perbedaan nilai pre-test (68.50) dan post-test (71.24 ) kelas eksperimen dengan nilai pre-test (68.69) dan post-test (74.13) kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired t-test dengan nilai Sig.(2-tailed) pada kelas eksperimen 0.004 < 0.05. Dapat disumpulkan bawa terdapat pengaruh antara pre-test dan post-test pada kelas dengan perlakuan model cooperative learning tipe STAD dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran sosiologi di SMA Negeri 5 Jakarta. Schools as formal educational institutions must organize superior learning, where students play an active and motivated role in learning, while teachers act as innovative facilitators. In Sociology learning, which is theoretical and complex, the main challenge is to increase the motivation and participation of students to be more effective. Learning motivation plays an important role in increasing learners' activeness and achievement, while their active involvement in the learning process aids in the understanding and retention of the material. Therefore, this research needs to be conducted to find out whether there is an influence of the STAD learning method on the learning motivation of grade XI students, especially in sociology subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method of pre-test and post-test control group design. The variables used were free variables (X), namely STAD-type Cooperative Learning, and bound variables (Y), namely sociology learning motivation. The research time was conducted in February-May 2025 at SMA Negeri 5 Jakarta. The population of this study is 288 people with a sample of 72 people. The sampling technique uses nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling technique, so that students in grades XI-1 and XI-2 are obtained as research samples. Data collection techniques in the form of likert-scale questionnaires, interviews and literature studies as well as data processing and analysis techniques in the form of descriptive statistics assisted by Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 25. The results of this study show that there is an influence between the STAD type cooperative learning model on students' learning motivation. It was proven that there was a difference in the pre-test (68.50) and post-test (71.24) scores of the experimental class with the pre-test (68.69) and post-test (74.13) scores of the control class. Based on the results of the paired T-test with a Sig.(2-tailed) value in the experimental class of 0.004 < 0.05. It can be concluded that there is an influence between pre-test and post-test in the classroom with the treatment of the STAD-type cooperative learning model in increasing the learning motivation of grade XI students in sociology subjects at SMA Negeri 5 Jakarta Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Student Team of Achievement Division, Sociology Learning Motivation.
