Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data yang akurat mengenai strategi yang dilakukan oleh pelatih ekstrakurikuler paduan suara SMAN 2 Depok dalam persiapan menghadapi lomba Internasional pertama yang diikuti. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Tempat penelitian bertempat di SMAN 2 Depok yang berlokasi di Jalan Gede Nomor 177, Kelurahan Abadijaya, Kecamatan Sukmajaya, Jawa Barat dan di rumah pelatih SMAN 2 Depok yang berlokasi di Jl. Tole Iskandar No.64, Abadijaya, Kec. Sukmajaya, Kota Depok, Jawa Barat 16417. Waktu penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Januari hingga Juni tahun 2025. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data dengan mengumpulkan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk konfirmasi hasil penelitian, menggunakan triangulasi data dengan pakar paduan suara : Ibu Luciana Dharmadi Oendoen, pelatih paduan suara The Resonanz Children’s Choir (TRCC) dan Juri The 1st Jakarta International Choral Festival. Hasil penelitian menunjukan data tentang strategi yang digunakan pelatih merujuk pada teori Dessler (2010) yaitu Analisis Kebutuhan, Desain Pengajaran, Pelaksanaan Program Latihan dan Evaluasi untuk mempersiapkan kompetisi berjalan dengan baik. Pada Tahap Analisis Kebutuhan mencakup seleksi anggota, identifikasi kategori, mempelajari juknis, pemilihan pengiring, kebutuhan latihan, penyiapan kostum dan perumusan biaya. Adapun tahap Desain Pengajaran yaitu pemilihan materi lagu, metode pelatihan, mengenal karakter anggota, identifikasi teknik dan materi, jadwal latihan serta koreografi. Pada Tahap Pelaksanaan Program Latihan terdapat pembentukan teknik, pelatihan materi lagu, pembentukan placement, dinamika, persiapan penampilan panggung, pembentukan mental dan pemberian motivasi. Terakhir adalah Tahapan Evaluasi yang mencakup perbaikan secara keseluruhan berdasarkan umpan balik. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pelatih dianggap efektif, karena SMAN 2 Depok berhasil memperoleh Gold Diploma dan The Most Impressive Choir pada The 1st Jakarta International Choral Festival. Kata Kunci : strategi pelatih, paduan suara, kompetisi internasional ***** The purpose of this study is to obtain accurate data on the strategies employed by the extracurricular choir coach at SMAN 2 Depok in preparation for the first international competition in which the choir participated. The research method used was a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Depok, located at Jalan Gede No. 177, Abadijaya Village, Sukmajaya District, West Java, and at the home of the SMAN 2 Depok coach, located at Jl. Tole Iskandar No. 64, Abadijaya, Sukmajaya District, Depok City, West Java 16417. The research was conducted from January to June 2025. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and literature study. Data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To confirm the research results, data triangulation was used with choir experts: Mrs. Luciana Dharmadi Oendoen, the choir coach of The Ressonance Children Choir, and a judge at The 1st Jakarta International Choral Festival. The research results revealed data on the strategies used by the coach, referring to Dessler’s theory (2010), namely Needs Analysis, Instructional Design, Implementation of the Training Program, and Evaluation to ensure the competition ran smoothly. The Needs Analysis stage included member selection, category identification, studying guidelines, selecting accompanists, training needs, costume preparation, and cost formulation. The Instructional Design stage involves selecting song materials, training methods, understanding member characteristics, identifying techniques and materials, scheduling training, and choreography. The Training Program Implementation stage includes developing techniques, training song materials, forming placements, dynamics, preparing stage performances, developing mental strength, and providing motivation. Finally, The Evaluation stage involves overall improvements based on feedback. The research findings can be concluded that the coaching strategy was considered effective, as SMAN 2 Depok successfully won the Gold Diploma and The Most Impressive Choir award at The 1st Jakarta International Choral Festival.
