Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain Experiment berbentuk Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design yang melibatkan dua variabel, yaitu variabel bebas model Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) dan variabel terikat minat belajar matematika peserta didik. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD di Kecamatan Cipayung, Depok. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 60 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 30 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket minat belajar matematika dengan indikator perhatian, ketertarikan, motivasi, dan keterlibatan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan rata-rata skor minat belajar matematika siswa pada kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 62,5 menjadi 82,3, sedangkan rata-rata skor minat belajar matematika siswa pada kelas kontrol meningkat dari 61,8 menjadi 70,1. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 4,572 dengan ttabel sebesar 2,002 pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan df = 58. Karena thitung > ttabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model Whole Brain Teaching terhadap minat belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SD di Kecamatan Cipayung Depok. ***** This research is an experimental study using an Experimental design in the form of a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, involving two variables: the independent variable is the Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) model and the dependent variable is students’ interest in learning mathematics. The population of this research was all fourth grade elementary school students in Cipayung District, Depok. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The total sample consisted of 60 students divided into 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. The research instrument was a questionnaire measuring students’ interest in learning mathematics, covering indicators of attention, interest, motivation, and engagement. The data analysis results showed that the average score of students’ interest in learning mathematics in the experimental class increased from 62.5 to 82.3, while the average score in the control class increased from 61.8 to 70.1. The hypothesis test using the t-test showed a calculated t-value of 4.572, with a t-table value of 2.002 at a significance level of α = 0.05 and df = 58. Since tcount > ttable, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Whole Brain Teaching model on the interest in learning mathematics of fourth grade elementary school students in Cipayung District, Depok.
