Abstract
Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan mengetahui kelayakan suatu produk berupa ensiklopedia pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) berbasis pendekatan Kontekstual. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa terhadap materi keberagaman budaya Indonesia dalam pembelajaran IPS, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya bahan ajar yang menarik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau research and development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Responden dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari ahli materi, ahli bahasa, ahli media, Guru kelas IV serta peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Hasil uji validasi buku ensiklopedia kepada ahli materi memperoleh nilai 94%, ahli media memperoleh nilai 92%, dan ahli bahasa memperoleh nilai 86%. Rata-rata nilai hasil validasi dari ketiga ahli maka didapatkan rata-rata sebesar 90,6%. Sedangkan hasil uji coba kepada peserta didik secara one to one memperoleh nilai 95,2%, secara small group memperoleh nilai 93,5%, dan secara field test memperoleh nilai 95%. Rata-rata nilai keseluruhan uji coba peserta didik sebesar 94,5%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa buku ensiklopedia pada pembelajaran IPS berbasis pendekatan kontekstual memperoleh nilai sangat layak dengan rentang skor 81% - 100% sehingga layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran IPS Bab 6 “Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya” kelas IV sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci : Minat belajar, Penelitian dan pengembangan, Ensiklopedia, Kontekstual, IPS, ADDIE *********** This research and development aims to produce and determine the feasibility of aproduct in the form of an encyclopedia in Social Studies (IPS) learning based on a Contextual approach. The background of this research is the low interest of students in learning the material of Indonesian cultural diversity in IPS learning, which is caused by the lack of interesting learning media. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Respondents in this study consisted of material experts, linguists, media experts, fourth-grade teachers and fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the encyclopedia book validation test for material experts obtained a score of 94%, media experts obtained a score of 92%, and language experts obtained a score of 86%. The average value of the validation results from the three experts obtained an average of 90.6%. Meanwhile, the results of the one-to-one student trials obtained a score of 95.2%, the small group trial obtained a score of 93.5%, and the field test obtained a score of 95%. The average overall score of the student trials was 94.5%. This shows that the encyclopedia book in social studies learning based on the contextual approach obtained a very decent score with a score range of 81% - 100% so it is suitable for use as a learning medium in social studies learning Chapter 6 " Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya" for grade IV elementary school.
