Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas penggunaan media flipbook pembelajaran Marzipan yang dikembangkan oleh Yuniarni (2024) dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Dekorasi Kue. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan media PowerPoint dan kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan flipbook. Instrumen penelitian berupa 25 soal pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta angket respons mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test pada kedua kelompok, serta penyebaran angket pada kelompok eksperimen. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, uji Mann Whitney, dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik PowerPoint maupun flipbook mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa, namun flipbook memberikan hasil yang lebih signifikan. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan Zhitung PowerPoint 4,706 > Ztabel 1,645 dan flipbook 4,782 > Ztabel 1,645. Uji Mann Whitney menghasilkan Zhitung 2,183 > Ztabel 1,656, menandakan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua media. Analisis N-Gain memperlihatkan skor 0,52 (kategori sedang) untuk PowerPoint dan 0,78 (kategori tinggi) untuk flipbook. respons mahasiswa terhadap flipbook sangat positif dengan rata-rata persentase 95%. Mahasiswa menilai flipbook mudah dipahami, menarik, relevan, serta mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan rasa percaya diri. Dengan demikian, flipbook pembelajaran Marzipan terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Dekorasi Kue karena tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan secara signifikan, tetapi juga memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. ***** This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the Marzipan learning flipbook developed by Yuniarni (2024) in enhancing students' knowledge in the Cake Decoration course. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that both PowerPoint and flipbook media improved students' knowledge, but the flipbook produced more significant outcomes. The Wilcoxon test indicated Zhitung for PowerPoint 4.706 > Ztable 1.645 and for the flipbook 4.782 > Ztable 1.645. The Mann Whitney test yielded Zhitung 2.183 > Ztable 1.656, confirming a significant difference between the two media. The N-Gain analysis revealed a score of 0.52 (moderate category) for PowerPoint and 0.78 (high category) for the flipbook. student responses to the flipbook were highly positive, with an average percentage of 95%. Students considered the flipbook easy to understand, engaging, relevant, and capable of boosting motivation and self-confidence. Therefore, the Marzipan learning flipbook proved to be an effective instructional medium for the Cake Decoration course, as it not only significantly enhanced students' knowledge but also provided an interactive, enjoyable, and relevant learning experience.
