Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya jumlah lulusan SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta yang bekerja sesuai dengan bidang keahliannya di sektor ketenagalistrikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh langsung lingkungan sekolah terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa; (2) pengaruh langsung pengalaman Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa; (3) pengaruh langsung lingkungan sekolah terhadap minat berkarir siswa di bidang ketenagalistrikan; (4) pengaruh langsung pengalaman PKL terhadap minat berkarir siswa di bidang ketenagalistrikan; (5) pengaruh langsung kepercayaan diri terhadap minat berkarir siswa di bidang ketenagalistrikan; (6) pengaruh tidak langsung lingkungan sekolah terhadap minat berkarir melalui kepercayaan diri; dan (7) pengaruh tidak langsung pengalaman PKL terhadap minat berkarir melalui kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan populasi 90 siswa kelas XII Jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik dan sampel 47 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin pada taraf signifikansi 10%. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur dengan uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas, linearitas, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Kepercayaan diri terbukti berperan sebagai variabel mediasi yang memperkuat pengaruh lingkungan sekolah dan pengalaman PKL terhadap minat berkarir siswa di bidang ketenagalistrikan. ***** This research is motivated by the low number of graduates from SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta who work in occupations aligned with their expertise in the field of electrical engineering. The objectives of this study are to determine: (1) the direct influence of the school environment on students’ self-confidence; (2) the direct influence of internship (PKL) experience on students’ self-confidence; (3) the direct influence of the school environment on students’ career interest in the field of electrical engineering; (4) the direct influence of internship experience on students’ career interest; (5) the direct influence of self-confidence on students’ career interest; (6) the indirect influence of the school environment on career interest through self-confidence; and (7) the indirect influence of internship experience on career interest through self-confidence. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a population of 90 students of Grade 12 in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering Department and a sample of 47 students determined using Slovin’s formula at a 10% significance level. Data were collected using questionnaires, and the analysis technique used was path analysis, preceded by prerequisite tests including normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results show that all variables have a positive and significant influence both directly and indirectly. Furthermore, self-confidence acts as a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of the school environment and internship experience on students’ career interest in the field of electrical engineering.
