Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Peranan Sanggar Batik Seraci Dalam Upaya Pelestarian Batik Betawi di Kampung Kebon Kelapa Kecamatan Tarumajaya Kabupaten Bekasi. Penulis memilih rentang waktu dari tahun 2010-2017. Di mana tahun 2010 merupakan awal berdiri Sanggar batik Seraci sebagai pelopor berdirinya Rumah Keluarga Betawi hingga 2017 yang menjadi pembatasan masalah dikarenakan adanya pergantian kepemilikan dari Almarhumah Ibu Ernawati ke Munawaroh dikarenakan Almarhumah Ibu Ernawati sudah meninggal dunia sehingga Batik Seraci memiliki fokus motif Batik tidak hanya Kebetawian saja tetapi di Bekasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode historis. Tahap pertama, peneliti menghimpun buku, dokumen, dan surat kabar yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan topik pembahasan. Setelah referensi terkumpul, maka peneliti masuk ke tahap kedua untuk melakukan kritik internal dan eksternal. Ketiga, peneliti menafsirkan fakta dari sumber yang telah berhasil dikritik dan terbukti validitasnya. Tahap keempat, secara terstruktur melakukan penulisan hasil penelitian sejarah peranan Sanggar Batik Seraci dalam upaya pelestarian Batik Betawi di Kampung Kebon Kelapa Kecamatan Tarumajaya Kabupaten Bekasi dalam bentuk deskriptif naratif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Sanggar Seraci Batik Betawi didirikan pada tahun 2010 oleh Almarhumah Ibu Ernawati, yang berkomitmen untuk menghidupkan kembali batik Betawi melalui pelatihan pembuatan motif, pewarnaan, dan pemasaran. Teknik ini menunjukan memiliki peran dalam hal pelestarian melalui hal tersebut budaya membatik tetap terpelihara sehingga sanggar batik seraci memiliki peranan dalam melestarikan Batik Khas Betawi. ***** This study aims to describe the Role of Sanggar Batik Seraci in the Efforts to Preserve Betawi Batik in Kampung Kebon Kelapa, Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency. The author chose the time span from 2010 to 2017, where 2010 marks the beginning of Sanggar Batik Seraci as the pioneer in establishing the Betawi Family House, up to 2017, which is used as the boundary of the study due to the change of ownership from Almarhumah Mrs. Ernawati to Mrs. Munawaroh, since Mrs. Ernawati had passed away. Consequently, Batik Seraci broadened its motif focus, not limited to Betawi patterns but also including motifs from Bekasi. This research was conducted using a historical method. The first stage, the researcher collects books, documents, and newspapers that are related to the topic of discussion. After the references are gathered, the researcher proceeds to the second stage to conduct internal and external criticism. Third, the researcher interprets the facts from sources that have been successfully critiqued and whose validity has been proven. The fourth stage involves systematically writing the results of historical research on the role of Sanggar Batik Seraci in the effort to preserve Betawi Batik in Kampung Kebon Kelapa, Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency, in the form of a descriptive narrative. The results of this study show that Sanggar Seraci Batik Betawi was established in 2010 by Almarhumah Mrs. Ernawati, who is committed to reviving Betawi batik through training in motif creation, coloring, and marketing. This technique is shown to play a role in preservation, ensuring that the batik-making culture remains maintained, so Sanggar Seraci Batik has a role in preserving the distinctive Betawi Batik.
