Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya hasil belajar IPA siswa yang terlihat dari rendahnya nilai hasil belajar IPA kelas IVa dan kurangnya sikap peduli, tanggung jawab, dan empati terhadap lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA melalui model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada siswa kelas IVa SDN Rawamangun 01 Pagi, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Jhon Elliot yang terdiri atas dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Setiap siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 siswa, terdiri atas 15 siswa perempuan dan 15 siswa laki – laki. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dilaksanakan melalui beberapa sintaks yang dalam materi pembelajaran IPA yang dikaitkan dengan konsep hasil belajar IPA siswa dalam kehidupan sehari – hari, sehingga mendorong siswa berpartisipasi aktif, berpikir kritis, tanggung jawab, gotong royong. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA kelas IVa secara signifikan, baik pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 59,44% pada pra siklus menjadi 70% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 90% pada akhir siklus yaitu siklus II. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata baik pada aspek kognitif, afektif, maupun psikomotor. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, kreatif, dan bertanggung jawab terhadap proyek yang berkaitan dengan pelestarian lingkungan. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IVa sekolah dasar. Penerapan model ini dapat menjadi alternatif bagi guru dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang kreatif, inovatif, kolaboratif, dan aktif bagi siswa. ***** This research started from the low science learning outcomes of students as seen from the low grades of science learning outcomes of class IVa and the lack of caring, responsible, and empathetic attitudes towards the school environment. This research aims to improve science learning outcomes through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in class IVa students of SDN Rawamangun 01 Pagi, East Jakarta. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Jhon Elliot model which consists of two cycles, each consisting of three meetings. Each cycle includes the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 30 students, consisting of 15 female students and 15 male students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model is implemented through several syntaxes in science learning materials that are linked to the concept of students' environmental awareness in everyday life, thus encouraging students to participate actively, think critically, take responsibility, and work together. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can significantly improve science learning outcomes in grade IVa students, both in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The percentage of learning completion increased from 59.44% in the pre-cycle to 70% in cycle I, and reached 90% at the end of the cycle, namely cycle II. This is seen from the increase in average scores in both cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Students become more active, creative, and responsible for projects related to environmental conservation. Thus, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has proven effective in improving science learning outcomes in grade IVa elementary school students. The application of this model can be an alternative for teachers in science learning to create a creative, innovative, collaborative, and active learning process for students.
