Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi agen perubahan melalui tokoh Narumi Ryōsuke dalam drama Jepang Saki ni Umareta Dake no Boku, dengan fokus pada karakteristik tokoh, tahapan inovasi yang dilalui dan peran agen perubahan yang dijalani oleh Narumi Ryōsuke. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dengan metode deskriptif kualitif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak-catat pada dialog dan adegan dalam drama, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori penokohan Nurgiyantoro untuk karakteristik tokoh dan teori Difusi Inovasi Everett M. Rogers untuk tahapan inovasi dan peran agen perubahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Karakteristik Narumi Ryōsuke sebagai agen perubahan teridentifikasi melalui sikap kritis, rasional, bertanggung jawab, kolaboratif dan persisten dengan latar belakang sebagai pebisnis yang dibangun melalui teknik pelukisan dramatik, (2) Proses perubahan berlangsung melalui tahapan inovasi (knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, confirmation) dengan tahap persuasion dan implementation paling dominan, serta menghadapi berbagai bentuk resistensi. (3) Tujuh peran agen perubahan yang dikemukakan oleh Rogers (2003) dipenuhi oleh Narumi Ryōsuke di dalam drama. Simpulan penelitian mengonfirmasi bahwa representasi agen perubahan dalam narasi drama adalah proses bertahap yang dinamis, membutuhkan ketekunan, komunikasi efektif dan konsistensi dari agen perubahan. Kata kunci : sosiologi sastra, agen perubahan, karakteristik, tahapan inovasi, difusi inovasi, tokoh dan penokohan ***** This study aims to analyze the representation of agents of change through the character of Narumi Ryōsuke in the Japanese drama Saki ni Umareta Dake no Boku. The analysis focuses on his character traits, the stages of innovation he undergoes, and the role he plays as an agent of change. This research employs a literary sociology approach using a qualitative descriptive method. The data were collected through observation and note-taking of dialogues and scenes in the drama, and were analyzed using Nurgiyantoro’s theory of characterization to examine character traits, as well as Everett M. Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovations theory to analyze the stages of innovation and the roles of change agents. The findings reveal that: (1) Narumi Ryōsuke’s characteristics as an agent of change are reflected in his critical, rational, responsible, collaborative, and persistent attitudes, supported by his background as a businessman and constructed through dramatic portrayal techniques. (2) The process of change unfolds through the stages of innovation—knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation—with the persuasion and implementation stages being the most dominant, while encountering various forms of resistance. (3) All seven roles of change agents proposed by Rogers (2003) are represented through Narumi Ryōsuke’s actions in the drama. In conclusion, the study confirms that the representation of an agent of change within the drama’s narrative is a dynamic and gradual process that requires perseverance, effective communication, and consistency on the part of the change agent.
