Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab siswa kelas VII melalui penggunaan aplikasi Read Along di Ma’had Aminah Boarding School, serta untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan hasil peningkatan keterampilan membaca setelah diterapkannya aplikasi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang meliputi empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi, dan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test) untuk mengukur keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab, serta observasi kelas dan dokumentasi untuk memantau proses pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa kelas VII di Ma’had Aminah Boarding School. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif untuk membandingkan hasil tes, serta analisis kualitatif berdasarkan hasil observasi kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Read Along berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab siswa. Rata-rata nilai keterampilan membaca pada pre-test sebesar 77,07, kemudian meningkat pada post-test pertama menjadi 87,27, dan kembali meningkat pada post-test kedua menjadi 95,40. Selain itu, hasil observasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada aspek kelancaran membaca, ketepatan pelafalan, pemahaman bacaan, serta kepercayaan diri siswa dalam membaca teks bahasa Arab. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Read Along efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pendukung dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab.***** This classroom action research aims to enhance Arabic reading skills of seventh grade students at Ma’had Aminah Boarding School through the use of the Read Along application, as well as to identify the process of instructional implementation and the outcomes of reading skill improvement after the application was implemented in the learning process. This study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, action implementation, classroom observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles. Research data were collected through a pre-test and post-tests to measure students’ Arabic reading skills, along with classroom observation and documentation to monitor the teaching and learning process. The research participants consisted of 30 seventh grade students at Ma’had Aminah Boarding School. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative analysis by comparing test results, and qualitative analysis based on classroom observation findings. The results indicate that the use of the Read Along application significantly contributed to the improvement of students’ Arabic reading skills. The average reading score in the pre-test was 77.07, which increased to 87.27 in the first post-test and further rose to 95.40 in the second post-test. Classroom observation results also revealed improvements in reading fluency, pronunciation accuracy, reading comprehension, and students’ self-confidence in reading Arabic texts. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Read Along application is effective as a supportive learning medium for enhancing Arabic reading skills.
