Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pengembangan materi ajar membaca teks berita berbasis literasi multimodal pada peserta didik kelas XI SMA. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menunjang pembelajaran membaca teks berita yang tidak hanya berfokus pada pemahaman isi, tetapi juga kemampuan menafsirkan informasi yang disajikan melalui berbagai bentuk media. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Pengembangan ini berdasarkan pada tata cara pengembangan model ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap, yaitu analysis (menganalisis), design (merancang), development (mengembangkan), implementation (mengimplementasikan), dan evaluation (mengevaluasi). Sampel pada penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik SMAN 104 Jakarta dengan jumlah 34 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah berhasil dikembangkan materi ajar membaca teks berita berbasis literasi multimodal yang memadukan teks berita cetak dan video berita daring sebagai sumber belajar. Validasi oleh ahli materi memperoleh persentase 94% dan validasi oleh ahli metodologi memperoleh persentase 94%, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, materi ajar dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas XI SMA. Penggunaan pendekatan literasi multimodal memungkinkan peserta didik mengembangkan kemampuan membaca secara kritis dan kontekstual sesuai dengan tuntutan pembelajaran di era digital. Materi ajar ini juga memperkuat pemahaman terhadap isi, struktur, dan ciri kebahasaan teks berita. Secara keseluruhan, pengembangan ini menghasilkan materi ajar yang relevan dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca teks berita di tingkat SMA. This study is expected to support the learning of reading news texts that not only focuses on understanding the content but also the ability to interpret information presented through various forms of media. This research is classified as Research and Development (R&D) research. This development is based on the ADDIE model development procedure, which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The sample in this study consisted of 34 students from SMAN 104 Jakarta. The results showed that teaching materials for reading news texts based on multimodal literacy, which combine printed news texts and online news videos as learning resources, had been successfully developed. Validation by subject matter experts obtained a percentage of 94%, and validation by methodology experts obtained a percentage of 94%, both of which are considered very feasible. Based on these results, the teaching materials are declared feasible for use as Indonesian language learning materials in grade XI high school. The use of a multimodal literacy approach enables students to develop critical and contextual reading skills in line with the demands of learning in the digital age. This teaching material also strengthens understanding of the content, structure, and linguistic characteristics of news texts. Overall, this development has resulted in relevant and effective teaching materials for use in teaching high school students to read news texts.
