Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar membaca teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas VII SMP berbantuan aplikasi Genially. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation). Subjek penelitian meliputi siswa kelas VII sebanyak 23 siswa dan guru bahasa Indonesia di MTs Sirojul Munir Bogor. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil observasi, wawancara, dan angket analisis kebutuhan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa serta guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar membaca teks deskripsi berbantuan aplikasi Genially dinilai sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil validasi ahli materi yang memperoleh skor rata-rata 90,77% dengan kategori “sangat baik” dan hasil validasi ahli media yang memperoleh skor rata-rata 94,67% dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Respon guru dan siswa juga menunjukkan tingkat ketertarikan dan kemudahan penggunaan yang tinggi. Bahan ajar ini dinilai efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami isi dan struktur teks deskripsi secara mandiri maupun terbimbing. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar membaca teks deskripsi berbantuan aplikasi Genially layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMP. Kata Kunci: pengembangan, bahan ajar, membaca, teks deskripsi, Genially ***** This study aims to develop teaching materials for reading descriptive texts for seventh-grade junior high school students using the Genially application. This study uses the research and development method with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects included 23 seventh-grade students and Indonesian language teachers at MTs Sirojul Munir Bogor. The data collected consisted of observation results, interviews, and needs analysis questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively and qualitatively. The instruments used included validation sheets and response questionnaires for students and teachers. The results showed that teaching materials for reading descriptive texts using the Genially application were considered very suitable for use in learning. This was supported by the results of material expert validation, which obtained an average score of 90.77% in the “very good” category, and media expert validation, which obtained an average score of 94,67% in the “very good” category. Teacher and student responses also showed a high level of interest and ease of use. These teaching materials are considered effective in helping students understand the content and structure of descriptive texts independently or with guidance. Thus, teaching materials for reading descriptive texts using the Genially application are suitable for use in Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level.
