Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis situs secara teoretis menurut para ahli media, (2) mengetahui media pembelajaran berbasis situs secara praktis menurut para ahli materi dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Dokkai II setelah menggunakan media yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya penurunan motivasi belajar mahasiswa selama perkuliahan daring serta, dosen pengampu merasa memerlukan media pembelajaran alternatif lain yang lebih bervariasi agar dapat mendorong motivasi mahasiwa. Pengembangan media situs dilakukan berdasarkan metode Waterfall yang dikembangkan oleh Pressman (2012). Sedangkan motivasi membaca pada mahasiswa diukur menggunakan Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Pintrich (1991). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil penilaian kelayakan dari satu orang ahli pada bidang media pembelajaran dan satu orang ahli pada bidang materi bahasa Jepang. Data yang telah dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis situs yang telah direvisi sesuai saran-saran ahli media maupun ahli materi, layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif dalam meningkatkan motivasi membaca bahasa Jepang tingkat menengah dasar. Adapun nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh untuk kelayakan media yaitu 83,57 dengan interpretasi kelayakan sangat layak, dari segi nilai kelayakan materi yaitu 86,7 dengan interpretasi kelayakan sangat layak. Berdasarkan penilaian kelayakan yang diperoleh, media pembelajaran berbasis situs ini layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif dalam melatih kemampuan membaca bahasa Jepang tingkat menengah dasar. ****** This research aims to (1) determine the theoretical feasibility of the website-based learning media according to media experts, (2) determine the practical feasibility of the website-based learning media according to subject matter experts, and (3) determine the improvement of students’ learning motivation in the Dokkai II course after using the developed media. The background of this research was motivated by the decline in students’ learning motivation during online lectures, as well as the lecturers’ need for alternative and more varied learning media to help enhance students’ motivation. The development of the website-based media was conducted using the Waterfall methodology as proposed by Pressman (2012). Meanwhile, students’ reading motivation was assessed using the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), developed by Pintrich (1991). The research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collected consisted of the feasibility assessment results from one expert in the field of instructional media and one expert in the field of Japanese language material. The collected data were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The results of the research show that the website-based learning media, which had been revised according to the suggestions of both media and subject matter experts, is feasible to be used as an alternative learning media to enhance motivation in reading Japanese at the basic-intermediate level. The average score obtained for media feasibility was 83.57, which falls under the “highly feasible” category, while the score for material feasibility was 86.7, also interpreted as “highly feasible.” category. Based on the feasibility assessment results, this website-based learning media is considered suitable to be used as an alternative learning media for practicing Japanese reading skills at the basic-intermediate level.
