Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model asesmen formatif pada elemen menulis teks cerita pendek kelas IX SMP Bina Pangbudi Luhur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu analisis (analysis), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Tahap analisis dilaksanakan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara terhadap guru, dan angket analisis kebutuhan yang menunjukkan urgensi penggunaan model asesmen formatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis cerita pendek. Pada tahap desain, dirancang purwarupa model asesmen formatif pada materi menulis cerita pendek melalui pendekatan berbasis genre teks. Hasil validasi oleh ahli asesmen dan ahli bahasa menunjukkan skor yang sangat baik, yaitu 4,6 untuk ahli asesmen dan 4,93 untuk ahli bahasa. Uji coba terbatas yang dilakukan terhadap peserta didik kelas IX SMP Bina Pangbudi Luhur menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek, dengan rata-rata awal 46 menjadi 87 setelah menggunakan model asesmen formatif pada elemen menulis. Sementara itu, hasil uji keefektifan mendapat skor 0,76 dengan kategori efektif. Hasil respons peserta didik dan guru sangat efektif, baik dari segi pemahaman terhadap materi, model asesmen yang digunakan, kemudahan penggunaan, dan kebermanfaatan model asesmen formatif dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, model asesmen formatif yang dikembangkan dinilai layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek melalui pendekatan berbasis genre teks. This study aims to develop a formative assessment model for the short story writing element for grade IX students at SMP Bina Pangbudi Luhur The research employed a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The analysis stage was carried out through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and a needs-analysis questionnaire, which indicated the urgency of using a formative assessment model to improve students short story writing skills. In the design stage, a prototype of the formative assessment model was developed for short story writing material using a genre-based text approach. Validation by an assessment expert and a language expert produced very high scores, namely 4.6 from the assessment expert and 4.93 from the language expert. A limited trial with Grade IX students at SMP Bina Pangbudi Luhur showed an improvement in short story writing ability, with the mean score increasing from 46 to 87 after the implementation of the formative assessment model for the writing element. Furthermore, the effectiveness test yielded a score of 0.76, categorized as effective. Students and teacher’s responses indicated a very high level of effectiveness in terms of content comprehension, suitability of the assessment model, ease of use, and the benefits of the formative assessment model in instruction. Accordingly, the developed formative assessment model is considered feasible and effective for use in teaching short story writing through a genre-based text approach.
