Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk makna afektif dalam kalimat-kalimat tersebut berdasarkan perantara-perantara yang mewujudkan makna afektif sesuai dengan yang dikemukakan oleh Leech. Makna afektif merupakan makna yang menyampaikan sikap dan perasaan penutur terhadap isi ujaran atau lawan tuturnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendalami makna afektif yang dapat diwujudkan melalui perantara semantik lainnya, yaitu konseptual, konotatif, dan stilistika. Berdasarkan analisis, ditemukan bahwa makna afektif paling dominan disampaikan melalui perantara konseptual. Hal ini membuktikan adanya kecenderungan penulis untuk menggunakan bahasa yang lugas dan jujur dalam mengungkapkan perasaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna afektif berperan dalam membangun kedekatan emosional antara penulis dan pembaca melalui penyampaian makna dasar, nilai rasa, dan gaya bahasa melalui tema universal tentang kesepian, kesedihan, dan pengejaran tujuan dalam hidup. Kata Kunci: Afektif, Leech, Semantik, Konseptual, Konotatif, Stilistika ***** This study aims to describe the forms of affective meaning in those sentences based on the mediators that realize affective meaning as proposed by Leech. Affective meaning is the meaning that conveys the speaker's attitudes and feelings toward the content of the utterance or their interlocutor. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to examine the affective meaning that can be realized through other semantic mediators, namely conceptual, connotative, and stylistic. Based on the analysis, it was found that affective meaning is most dominantly conveyed through conceptual mediators. This proves that there is a tendency for the author to use straightforward and honest language in expressing feelings. The research results indicate that affective meaning plays a role in building an emotional closeness between the writer and the reader through the conveyance of basic meaning, value of feeling, and linguistic style via universal themes of loneliness, sadness, and the pursuit of life goals.
