Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan awal terhadap miskonsepsi peserta didik, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui sikap ilmiah dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hubungan dan pengaruh antarvariabel penelitian. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas peserta didik sekolah dasar yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik penelitian. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes diagnostik miskonsepsi berbasis certainty of response index (CRI) untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat pemahaman konsep dan miskonsepsi, tes pengetahuan awal, serta angket sikap ilmiah. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis) untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antarvariabel penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan awal memiliki pengaruh langsung yang signifikan terhadap miskonsepsi peserta didik. Sebaliknya, sikap ilmiah tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap miskonsepsi dan tidak berperan sebagai variabel mediasi dalam hubungan antara pengetahuan awal dan miskonsepsi. Pengaruh tidak langsung pengetahuan awal terhadap miskonsepsi melalui sikap ilmiah juga tidak signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa miskonsepsi peserta didik lebih dipengaruhi oleh struktur pengetahuan awal yang telah terbentuk dibandingkan oleh aspek afektif semata. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran IPA perlu lebih menekankan pada identifikasi dan pelurusan pengetahuan awal yang keliru melalui pembelajaran bermakna dan pendekatan perubahan konseptual, serta didukung oleh pengembangan sikap ilmiah secara sistematis. ***** This study aims to analyze the influence of prior knowledge on students' misconceptions, both directly and indirectly thru scientific attitudes in science learning. This study is quantitative research with a correlational method, aiming to explain the relationships and influences between research variables. The research sample consists of elementary school students selected using a sampling technique tailored to the research characteristics. The research instruments include a certainty of response index (CRI)-based diagnostic test for misconceptions to identify the level of concept understanding and misconceptions, a pre-knowledge test, and a scientific attitude questionnaire. Data were analyzed using path analysis to determine the direct and indirect effects between the research variables. The research findings indicate that prior knowledge has a significant direct influence on students' misconceptions. Conversely, scientific attitude did not significantly influence misconceptions and did not mediate the relationship between prior knowledge and misconceptions. The indirect effect of prior knowledge on misconceptions thru scientific attitude was also not significant. This finding indicates that students' misconceptions are more influenced by their pre-existing knowledge structure than by affective aspects alone. Therefore, science learning needs to place more emphasis on identifying and correcting incorrect prior knowledge thru meaningful learning and conceptual change approaches, supported by the systematic development of scientific attitudes.
