Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan minat belajar IPA siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran STEAM di kelas IV A SDN Medan Satria 02 Bekasi. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV A yang berjumlah 26 orang, terdiri atas 12 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswi perempuan. Penelitian menggunakan model spiral dari Kemmis dan McTaggart dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi guru, lembar observasi siswa, serta angket minat belajar yang diberikan pada setiap siklus. Hasil pada siklus I menunjukkan persentase minat belajar IPA siswa sebesar 74,89%, keterlaksanaan tindakan guru 80%, dan aktivitas siswa 75%. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan dengan perolehan minat belajar siswa mencapai 86,08%,keterlaksanaan tindakan guru 93%, serta aktivitas siswa 90%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran STEAM dalam pembelajaran IPA terbukti mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas IV A SDN Medan Satria 02 Bekasi. ***** This classroom action research aimed to improve students’ interest in science learning by implementing the STEAM learning model in Class IV A at SDN Medan Satria 02 in Bekasi. All 26 students in Class IV A were the research subjects, consisting of 12 boys and 14 girls. The study employed Kemmis and McTaggart's spiral model, using instruments such as teacher and student observation sheets and learning interest questionnaires, which were administered in each cycle. Results from Cycle I showed that student interest in learning science was 74.89%, teacher performance was 80%, and student activity was 75%. In Cycle II, improvements were observed, with students' interest in learning increasing to 86.08%, teacher performance increasing to 93%, and student activity increasing to 90%. It can therefore be concluded that applying the STEAM learning model to science lessons has been effective in enhancing the learning interest of Class IV A students at SDN Medan Satria 02 in Bekasi.
