Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas menonton drama Korea terhadap manajemen waktu peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri Jakarta Timur. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 104 murid yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket intensitas menonton drama Korea dan Time Management Behavior Scale (TMBS). Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa intensitas menonton drama Korea berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap manajemen waktu murid dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05). Aspek dengan skor rata-rata tertinggi pada variabel intensitas menonton adalah penghayatan (40.9). Sedangkan, pada variabel manajemen waktu aspek tertinggi adalah menetapkan tujuan dan prioritas (25.8). Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,114 menunjukkan bahwa intensitas menonton drama Korea memberikan kontribusi sebesar 11,4% terhadap manajemen waktu, sedangkan 88,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh adalah Y = 127,962 – 0,457X dengan nilai koefisien beta sebesar -0,338, yang menunjukkan hubungan negatif. Artinya, semakin tinggi intensitas menonton drama Korea, semakin rendah kemampuan manajemen waktu murid. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini yaitu guru BK dapat memberikan materi mengenai manajemen waktu dengan metode menonton drama korea yang sesuai dengan fase remaja akhir. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of the intensity of watching Korean dramas on time management among eleventh-grade students in a state senior high school in East Jakarta. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method. The participants consisted of 104 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the intensity of watching Korean dramas and the Time Management Behavior Scale (TMBS). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The results revealed that the intensity of watching Korean dramas has a significant effect on students’ time management, indicated by a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The highest-scoring aspect of viewing intensity was emotional engagement (mean = 40.9). Meanwhile, for the time management variable, the highest indicator was setting goals and priorities (25.8). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.114, indicating that 11.4% of time management variance is explained by the intensity of watching Korean dramas, while the remaining 88.6% is influenced by other factors. The regression equation obtained was Y = 127.962 – 0.457X with a beta coefficient of -0.338, indicating a negative relationship. This means that higher intensity of watching Korean dramas is associated with lower time management ability among students. The practical implication of this study is that school counselors deliver material on time management through methods of watching Korean dramas that are appropriate for the late adolescent phase.
