Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Topworksheets terhadap keterampilan menyimak teks cerpen siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Umam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment jenis pretest-posttes control group design. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengambil sampel adalah purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Umam, dengan sampel 50 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelas, yaitu kelas X.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X.2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan pada kelas ekperimen. Pada kelas ekperimen, rata-rata nilai pretets 66.60 dan 86,00 pada posttest dengan selisih 19,40 poin. Kelas kontrol hanya memiliki pengaruh sebesar 63,20 pada pretest dan 69,00 pada posttest. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa nilai Thitung lebih besar daripada Ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Topworksheets berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan menyimak teks cerpen siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Umam. Media pembelajaran Topworksheets juga dapat diimplikasikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen. Kata kunci: Media Topworksheets, keterampilan menyimak, teks cerpen ********************* This study aims to determine the effect of Topworksheets on short story listening skills of grade X students of MA Miftahul Umam. The research method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design of the pretest-posttest control group design. The method used to collect the sample was purposive sampling. The study population was all grade X students of MA Miftahul Umam, with a sample of 50 students divided into two classes, namely class X.1 as the experimental class and X.2 as the control class. The results showed a significant effect in the experimental class. In the experimental class, the average pretest score was 66.60 and 86.00 on the posttest with a difference of 19.40 points. The control class only had an effect of 63.20 on the pretest and 69.00 on the posttest. The t-test results show that the calculated T value is greater than the T table at a significance level of 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Topworksheets learning media has a significant effect on the listening skills of class X students of MA Miftahul Umam. The Topworksheets learning media can also be implied to the skills of writing short stories. Keywords: Topworksheets media, listening skills, short stories
