Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis, bentuk, serta faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya campur kode pada tuturan anggota JKT48 dalam pertunjukan teater JKT48. Data penelitian berupa tuturan anggota JKT48 yang mengandung unsur campur kode. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC), sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model alir Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 307 data yang ditemukan, berdasarkan jenisnya terdapat 16 data campur kode ke dalam, 289 data campur kode ke luar, dan 2 data campur kode campuran. Berdasarkan bentuk, campur kode paling banyak muncul dalam bentuk kata sebanyak 238 data, diikuti bentuk frasa sebanyak 57 data dan bentuk klausa sebanyak 20 data. Berdasarkan faktor yang melatarbelakangi, ditemukan tujuh faktor, yaitu keterbatasan penggunaan kode sebanyak 17 data, penggunaan istilah yang lebih populer sebanyak 77 data, pembicara dan pribadi pembicara sebanyak 117 data, mitra bicara sebanyak 23 data, fungsi dan tujuan sebanyak 30 data, membangkitkan rasa humor sebanyak 19 data, serta sekadar bergengsi sebanyak 67 data. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan campur kode dalam pertunjukan teater JKT48 dipengaruhi oleh identitas sosial para penutur serta adanya strategi berbahasa dalam konteks pertunjukan. ***** This study aims to describe the types, forms, and factors underlying the occurrence of code-mixing in the utterances of JKT48 members during JKT48 theater performances. The research data consist of utterances produced by JKT48 members that contain instances of code-mixing. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected using the non-participant observational technique (simak bebas libat cakap), while data analysis was conducted using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal that out of 307 data instances, based on type, there are 16 instances of inner code-mixing, 289 instances of outer code-mixing, and 2 instances of mixed code-mixing. Based on form, code-mixing predominantly occurs at the word level with 238 instances, followed by the phrase level with 57 instances and the clause level with 20 instances. Regarding the factors underlying code-mixing, seven factors were identified: limitations in code usage (17 instances), the use of more popular terms (77 instances), speaker and speaker’s personal characteristics (117 instances), interlocutor (23 instances), function and purpose (30 instances), the creation of humor (19 instances), and prestige-related motives (67 instances). The findings indicate that the use of code-mixing in JKT48 theater performances is influenced by the speakers’ social identities as well as strategic language use within the performance context.
